Ofc he gets us. He is part of the community and the ENTIRE community has been asking for this for ages. I support this 100% but I am not sure how to get ZOS to see that this is what we want. Its a priority for us and it needs to be a priority for ZOS. The fact that our priorities don't match with ZOS's priorities should be more concerning.

It seems these days no one "gets it" until either a streamer or youtuber makes a video about it. But that's fine with me, for those of us that have been making threads and talking about this for literally years, maybe the videos will be enough to finally push ZOS into working on some of it.

Its not that Zos doesn't get it. Its that they are waiting for the right time to sell it either directly or indirectly.

I don't know what the hell this guy is talking about, but it sounds like some nice and very much needed additions to the crafting system. :)

Still against jewelcrafting for already existing sets. If ZOS added some new 3-piece sets that could only be aquired by jewelcrafting I would be all for that.

Reason I´m against jewelcrafting is because you´ll be able to use 2 crafted sets at once. Jewelcrafting would sure add diversity to the amount of different builds you could make, but it would create an imblance as well. People already complain about "broken/OP" combinations, especially in PvP. Adding the possibility to run 2 crafted sets at once would create even more "broken/OP" combinations.

And since ZOS is unable to balance sets amongst eachother I´m not sure I want to witness the day jewelcrafting arrives (if it ever does. hopefully not).

    • Jewelery: YES PLEASE, part of blacksmithing - NO. It must be a new passive line you lazy bum. All the jewelery that can be crafted should be part of new sets...not old ones...you WILL work for your new sets.
    • Change traits: YES PLEASE, but I do feel there should be a hefty cost behind this, or else everyone will have the best gear traits within a day....lazy bum.
    • Change style of weapons: No point other than cosmetic, so sure, why not...
    • Research time: PLEASE KEEP AS IS....you lazy bum.
    • Journal: No point really...I don't know why one needs a journal when you can just check when you are at the crafting station.

      Lazy bum.

You realize there's only 2 good sets from crafting sets?

3 if you think Eternal Hunt is still good.

What possible op combo can you make with 2 crafted sets? There aren't any that would be more op than 2 dropped sets.

The blacksmith anvil and hammer is far too large and clumsy for jewelry. Goldsmiths and silversmiths use tools far finer for their detailed work. The entire blacksmith workspace would be unsuitable, but a woodworking table would serve much better.

The blacksmith anvil has traits across 14 items. Same with cloth. Nobody wants to add that research time there. Woodworking has only 6 item lines. For balance of trait research among the stations, jewelry should be done at the wood table which already completes far faster than either of the others.

I think the three slots too small to deserve anything other than it be something like another blacksmith tab. And they could be their own little set so you will never be able to craft Hunding's Rage ring and such. Mostly, I'd like just the ability to improve existing drops and that will be enough. I do like the motif idea and being able to change traits. But if this is going to be behind a paywall, ZOS can just save their time. I'd like to see this game make improvements and additions to the game without requiring money. Like every other MMORPG. And that doesn't mean fixing the broken parts. I've heard of jewelcrafting coming to the game since I started playing. I'm pretty sure that a dead idea at this point. Hopefully at least improving drops could find a way in.

Changing traits would erase the need to do content more than once, which would lead to people leaving at a faster rate.

Same with improving existing jewelry drops, it would erase the need to improve your own skill to be able to complete harder content.

Reducing research time would reduce the subscription benefit that paying customers receive.

Changing styles is an iffy thing, it could reduce the need to do content.

All of the changes have impacts. I see very few people actually putting thought into the ripples that their changes would make.

So, no new improvements within the game but its okay to sell it in the store. Got it. Yeah, we really need to think about ripples, don't we?
