bringing this to the attention of general forums. this is not breaking NDA, the patch notes are on PTS forum acessible to all and from reading through later patch notes - this hasn't been changed and will go live as is in 12 days.
Master Writ Merchant Update
Rolis Hlaalu, the Master Mediator, has expanded his inventory. He now sells plans for two Target Centurions suitable for evaluating the DPS of an entire Trial group, as well as two separate tiers of Furnisher’s Documents.
The “Target Centurion, Dwarf-Brass” is a little tougher than the Veteran Yokeda Kai from Hel Ra Citadel, with nearly 26 million health. In addition to learning the praxis, this requires four Animus Stones as well as 12 Dwarven Construct Repair Parts, which can be found as weekly rewards from the Halls of Fabrication or acquired from other players.
The “Target Centurion, Robust Refabricated” is nearly half as tough as Ozara from Sanctum Ophidia, with over 51 million health. This behemoth requires a total of eight Animus Stones, as well as a whopping 120 Dwarven Construct Repair Parts.
The Hlaalu Furnisher’s Document is now known as the Hlaalu Master’s Furnisher Document, and is now sold for 25 Writ Vouchers.
A new item known as the Hlaalu Journeyman Furnisher’s Document is now available in exchange for 10 Writ Vouchers, and contains a random blue furnishing recipe.

IMO and not just my opinion - this is an awful change. at the moment, there are very few purple furnishing recipes that sell above 20k there are a few that sell under 10k. this makes current cost of hlaalu document compared to going voucher selling price to be more or less about breaking even, unless you get extra lucky and get one of the very rare redguard patterns.

at 25 vouchers? they become extremely overpriced.

moreover - vast majority of blue patterns sell for 5k or under.

add to that that master writs seems to have had their drop rate nerfed for a LOT of us.

the change to purple document needs to be reverted to original price of 10 vouchers, IMO with blues selling at 5 vouchers.
dirty worthless casual.

Thanks for the heads up. Makes no sense to me either but like the two tier idea as well as your pricing suggestion on them.

This'll likely make the purple furniture recipes price go higher.

I'm not too fond of the change but suppose we have 12 more days to cash in on "cheap" recipes :D
It seems overall ZOS never intended for the Hlaalu thing to become the prime farming source that it has, more of a leftover voucher occasional gamble thing. I guess they're hoping for us to go loot dem containers for furniture recipes.

the thing is... I'm guessing they are aware just how much of a crapshoot it is to get patterns from containers. otherwise - why add the blue version?

increasing the price of the patterns.. now? while not doing anything to housing that would making more appealing to people who might still be on a fence about it? why do I doubt that it will work.

    dirty worthless casual.

No blue blueprints I know sells for 10K today, price is 2-5K making the blue one an total waste.
The workstations sells for 40-50K, far smarter to buy and sell them.
    Another idiot nerf.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I don't understand this at all. The only thing this will do is make the price for purple recipes increase. They're already 4x -
5x higher than the crafted furniture. There isn't much profit from selling the furniture. Why make accessibility more difficult?

What I'm not too impressed with is that I adjusted my research schedule to allow me to finish some large writs I had acquired, before the officially announced release date for Morrowind, and now I find that the patch is being issued earlier and so I'm going to miss out on both the purple furniture plans I was intending to use the reward vouchers for, as well as the alternative research I would otherwise have allocated my time to.

Unless the patch is purely to release the new zone, and the other changes (master writs, sustain, etc). aren't taking effect until the originally announced date?

No such luck, the basegame patch will hit PC on the 22nd May. There's a post from a community manager about it, check the dev tracker and you will see it.

So, after being screwed on the provisioner writ "Craft a Psijic Ambrosia" ("a" implying one) which, when opened miraculously changed to requiring 8 (2 perfect roe for 10 vouchers at best crafting rate...seems a bit steep), I'm now also losing out on these master writs through once again taking Zenimax at their word...Maybe those people I see on the forums who complain so much about the treatment of players in this game by Zenimax actually have a point :(

I fell for the Psijic Ambrosia writ too - once. Now I just delete those, they're not worth the Roe.

This sucks! I've been buying all the Gold designs with the thought that once I've learned and gotten them out of the way (with two to go) I could start spending my surplus vouchers on the random purples. It seems had I gone about it the other way round I'd have saved literally hundreds of vouchers!!

    God [snip] danmit!!!!!

I'm barely even getting crafting writs. at least explain your reasoning for this change, ZoS? I mean.. usually prices for things like that get LOWERED with time, not nearly tripled.
