[PS4] Hard copy 'The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited' + digital 'Morrowind Upgrade Preorder'

I recently bought a physical copy of 'The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited' in the local store. I am enjoying the game, and now I have preordered the digital 'Morrowind Upgrade Preorder' in the PSN store as few days ago.

Now, I've heard rumours that some combinations of hard copy and digital won't work. Or certain copies of the base game with the expansion. I have checked the description in the PSN store again, and it says there that in order to play Morrowind, I need to have Tamriel Unlimited. It says nothing about any specific base game version, or whether it should be a hard copy or digital. So I am assuming my combination will work?

Can anyone can confirm while I can still cancel the preorder?

This is a great question. I'm in a similar situation on Xbox One - currently have physical copy of Tamriel Unlimited Gold Edition and I'm looking to get the Morrowind Upgrade Digital Code from Amazon.

I have been unable to find any hard answers yet, so hopefully someone will see this post and help us!

It should all be in the Announcement that was released. They also recommend looking thru the ESO FAQ at the bottom of this announcement. There is also a lot of existing discussion here .....

I have not seen any posts from ZOS that states there are issues with certain combinations of purchases causing issues. There have been questions from consoles players inquiring if they will still need to use the base game physical disk after the purchase of the digital upgrade, I have not seen any confirmation on this .....

Since you both already own the base game, your digital upgrade purchases will work with the base game regardless if the base game is a hard copy, digital download, original release or the gold edition. The upgrade options states you must already have ESO as upgrades do not include the base game. The Morrowind full game options are for new players that do not already own the base game .....

Just make sure to read carefully. If you purchase the wrong version you'll be stuck not being able to play at all until Morrowind releases. I think someone else bought the entire game, when they only intended to buy the upgrade. Now they get an error when trying to load the base game!

Both the posters asking questions are on consoles, so they are not eligible for early access and cannot access Morrowind until the official release .....

The people with this issue do not currently own a copy of the game. They have purchased the full version expecting you use the base game before the official release. ZOS has stated that if you buy the full version and do not own a previous copy of the game you will need to wait until the official release to access the base game .....

The person I was speaking about DID own a physical copy of the game.....

EDIT::: And just to clarify... I'm talking about someone else! Not the OP or anyone in this post. It seemed they had purchased the full game (ESO plus Morrowind) when they already owned ESO and only needed the Morrowind upgrade alone.
