Does the Maelstrom Bow/Master Bow use an enchantment charge per empowered damage instance?

As in:
Does the Maelstrom Bow's Enchantment degrade per tick of volley, or per enemy hit with the empowered volley? Does it degrade per tick? Or degrade per cast?

Does the Master's Bow Enchantment degrade per attack on a poisoned enemy? Does it degrade from DoTs on the enemy? Does the poison itself that causes the enchantment get buffed by the enchantment on later DoT procs?

They do currently but they shouldn't. It is a bug that was introduced with homestead, and never addressed by the devs despite many reports. I'm not 100% sure about masters, but vma bow eats a charge every tick of endless hail.

    It is fixed in Morrowind.

Which is pretty fantastic news since also in Morrowind the weapons actually have to be charged to work. (on live they currently work even when the charge is depleted)

I'm pretty sure the vMA bow does not empower endless hail if the charge is depleted (on live). I think the weapon damage bonus was still there, but I didn't get a boost to endless hail.

The weapon damage bonus is just like any other set piece bonus. nothing to do with the enchant.

It's actually part of the enchant, try re-enchanting one.
