The title says it all. I was wondering this with couple other players earlier today when we waited hours to get a group for trials.

Then you could get MULTIPLE fake tanks trying to skip to the front of the line!

You'd need real requirements correlating with CP/Spec for this to happen or the consistency with failed trial groups in the queue would be...yeah. It would be complicated. It can definitely happen though. I don't see why not for normal trials atm.

Yeah with the Any Class Any Role thing in this game I don't even see this working on Normal Trials. It works in a game like WoW, because at least there you have to be a certain class to choose the Healer or Tank option for the queue. Here you would just get tons of tanks and healers that haven't put a point into Resto Staff.

Yup. Put it back in. Everyone seems to have forgotten that Trials in activity finder WERE in the game until the removal of vet ranks.

Just for normal though. Vet would be a mess.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Any way you could've so kind as to ping the dev team with this request? I'm sure they'd like to hear something other than class whingeing ;)

I would like this to happen only if there is an option:

"search for max CP players only"

HAHAHAHAHAHAA........... YES! YES IT CAN! Oh the horror stories I have heard about people braving the Veteran Trial PUG's. Not clearing first boss of vHRC, not clearing 3rd boss of vAA, some even so bad they couldn't even do 2nd boss of vAA, and lord knows we shouldn't even begin to talk about puggin vSO or vMoL. I've even been in some pretty bad Normal runs myself too. Had a normal Maw with so low dps that that run was the reason why I learned the mechanics of Lunar Phase and Rakkaths Execute phase. Our DPS was so low we almost got 2 Lunar Phases, ON NORMAL. And we got to 5 Orbs on the execute phase. Its was a miracle that we completed at all. That's the reason why I have stopped Pugging Trials. I can pug a dungeon every now and then, prefer not to, but I will sometimes, but I will never pug a Trial.

As someone who tanks vet dungeons pugs, all I can say is the thought makes me light headed. I couldn't even imagine (hell I don't want to imagine) the cluster $&@% that would be trying to get a trial done.

Not gonna lie. I'd probably try to use it. But know that group finder for Vet dungeons rarely go smoothly. I've had even better luck zone chat pug vet trials then through some guilds.

GF for normal trials? I will support that with all ten.

GF for vetrials? Only and only if there will be really strict requirements added to be able to queue in.

What if there was some kind of certification check buff thing you did?
My thought is something like this:

You go to an npc (maybe some undaunted npc), you select a certification you want to get.
Tank certification requires you to be able to withstand a certain amount of damage for a certain amount of time while keeping a mob taunted.
Healer certification requires you to be able to keep an npc target alive for a certain amount of time.
Damage certification just gives you a target dummy to attack, and requires you to kill it in a certain amount of time.

Once you have completed the challenge given you, you get a buff, a certification buff. This buff does not time out, but will instantly remove if you change your skill bars or equipment. The buff lets you queue. Once you are actually in the buff drops and you are free to adjust your stuff with out worry.

You could apply this to regular dungeon queues as well.

All you need to do then is write in the undaunted managing the queue as some sort of group-matching service for members and it even makes in game RP sense.

You know, that certification buff thing would be great for GF Vet dungeons as well.

    Or much simplier:

Add normal trials to GF. Once you complete enough let's say normal Sanctum Ophidia via Group Finder you'll get permision to queue for veteran Sanctum Ophidia.

I mean, if you went trough the given trial 30 times, you surely have some knowledge about it's mechanics.

have some knowledge about it's mechanics.

In my expeirence no matter how hard something is people will figure out ways to get carried through it and learn nothing.

My ambition is just to ensure that peoples characters are technically capable. Sure, you could make it so all vet things require a certain number of normal runs. That feels like a sensible and logical mechanic... I dont think it will really fix any problems however.

In order to have an mmo where people actually know how to function as a group, you need an mmo that requires people to group to progress, and those are out of fashion.

This will never ever be a good idea. For normal trial maybe, but never for Veteran Trials.

Why not? Would be very easy if the tool would let the group leader to set minimum level, role, etc and post the group in a board.
Then the person looking for group would open the tool and see what groups he/she could apply for deppending on specified role, level, etc.

    It's an excellent idea.

aaaahhhh NO. Role and Level don't matter when checking for who you want in your group. Trying to do vSO first boss without voice chat is like trying to heard cats during a earthquake at the same time as a hurricane is one its way. Raid awareness and respect for the raid leaders and their calls and their strats is what makes or breaks most Veterna Trials, well Craglorn Trials. vMaw is also about so much more. But if you have a 12 man group where no one is on voice chat and everyone is doing their own thing its gonna be a Cluster F.

I'd vote "yes" for normal trials. But no vets. No PUGging on vets, omg, such a bad idea. I do wonder though...
I was wondering this with couple other players earlier today when we waited hours to get a group for trials.
How comes? In my PC/EU experience there already is a Group Finder for normal trials. It's called "Craglorn zone chat" :D Seriously, people are making groups for normal trials there 24/7. And the vast majority of them are pretty nice and chill guys, things go smoothly much more often than not.

Is it different on NA? And on other platforms?
English isn't my native, apologies for any mistakes.

I win! Had a group with three lunar phases... Wired part nobody died. That team was skilled group from pvp. And the leader was inspiring.
