Disappointed in Paintings andTapestries

For what it's worth, I find myself really disappointed in the available paintings and tapestries for Homestead. It's a minor annoyance in an otherwise brilliant release of Homestead, but... They are all very drab and colorless. Is the art style of every race on Tamriel to make the most muted possible tones and colors when doing art? Give us some vibrant colors please! We want Paintings that stand out rather than fading into the walls on which they are hung. This is an easy easy fix, just release some new stuff with some color and vibrancy. The stuff that exists now is so BLAH that I almost don't want to use it. Seriously, It all reminds me of the artwork hanging in a smokers house from the 1950s, so covered in tar and nicotine that the colors have been lost behind a layer of muck. That's literally what I think of every time I see one of the paintings in game.

So as not to be too much of a downer, let me say that I do really love the addition of Homestead and can't wait to buy the Grand Topal Hideaway tomorrow. Looking forward to decorating the island!

I really like the Nord, Redguard and Orc tapestries.

But I agree, the paintings are pretty dull. Too bad the market is flooded with them, they don't sell for squat.

I quite like the muted colours and slightly worn appearance of the paintings. Some of the tapestries seem to have a natural patina of age (they remind me a bit of the Verdure tapestries I have seen). That said, variety and options are good things to have.

One of the portraits - a winter one, I'm pretty sure the pic is of Orsinium. Easily my favourite painting. The rest of the others just don't stick out, you put them on walls and don't even really notice them unless you explicitly look for them,

I would be ok with some of them being old and faded, that would be realistic and would be nice to have, but not all of them. Don't get me wrong, I do like the content of some, the bridge and a couple others, but even those are dull due to their muted colors. Not trying to bash ZOS and their art department, but just asking for some contrast, some vibrancy and other options. Somebody in Tameriel somewhere has to be creating new works of art after all, they can't all be old faded tomb found relics.

Amen. A real lack of Dunmer items overall in comparison to all the rest of the racial furnishings too; guess they are the "poor" of the races eh!?

Off topic, but what time do the new crown store items drop? Midnight, or will there be a brief patch type downtime before they hit the crown store?

Definitely off topic, but it's early morning depending on your time zone. But it's generally around the start of work hours.
