[*]War Maiden (Light)

  • (3) Max Magicka
  • (4) Spell Damage
  • (5) Adds 400 Spell Damage to your Magic Damage abilities.

Crafted Sets

[*]Shacklebreaker
  • (2) Weapon Damage
  • (3) Spell Damage
  • (4) Stamina Recovery
  • (4) Magicka Recovery
  • (5) Adds 2000 Max Stamina
  • (5) Adds 2000 Max Magicka

Just wanted to have a small discussion regarding aforementioned sets. With the changes to syphoning strikes... There is 1 skill slot vacancy on my back bar.

so my new magblade will be in 5x heavy and 2x light. (not really sure about this tho)

1. head, chest , boots and pants, weapons (destro/resto) - Shacklebreaker
2. waist, gloves, rings, neck - War maiden
3. shoulders - 1 stam recovery or magicka recovery or spell damage monster set.

Note: kind of feel like weapon damage from Shacklebreaker is wasted bonus but oh well.

DPS bar - swallow soul, mass hysteria, impale, mark target, Merciless resolve...... Ult - Eye of the storm for fire desto 8% damage or Incap for Incap + merciless combo.
heal bar - cripple, healing path, shadow cloak or mist form, degeneration, healing ward..... Bat Swarm or Lights champ or Soul tether.
mundus : either recovery or crit chance.

I am not sure how this well play in all heavy. if this wont work out I would probably switch to 5 light 1 med 1 heavy. and replace Shadow cloak or mist from with dampen magick.

Any thoughts ? Thanks guys.

THE CAVELRY HAS ARRIVED! Cav is a professional magblade, (in his not so professional opinion). He is immortal and is fighting for the Pact since 2E 572, amidst the turmoil of the Second Akaviri Invasion. He protects the provinces of Skyrim, Morrowind and Black Marsh.

Why is the 2 set bonus weapon damage and then the 3 set bonus spell damage? Nonsense.

Finally a magicka nb set though (war maiden). Now if we can get a +magicka damage racial bonus...

@CavalryPK I'd suggest dropping Mark Target for Elemental Drain, as it's free to cast, gives the same armor debuff as Mark, and is the equivalent of an extra 600 magic regen as long as you're attacking somebody as it currently stands on PTS. It'll also let you drop the destro ult for Soul Tether if you'd like (I usually run Tether in solo play as I don't like waiting for my destro ult to be ready) without losing the 8% damage buff.

I'd also probably drop War Maiden. Maiden's spell damage only applies to your class damage skills (Impale, Merciless, etc.) and doesn't scale with buffs like Major Sorcery, while Necro would give almost as damage while also increasing the strength of your heals, and giving you a larger magicka pool to draw from (which means better sustain.) Since there's no reason to slot Siphoning this upcoming patch, you can run Shadow Image in it's place to proc Necro.

Thanks for the input man. If i run necro, i am gona see if i can do it in 5x heavy.

Is war maiden different from sets like soulshine then? Soulshine scales with major sorcery

Did it, so far so good. Some good fights some bad fights. Gona have to get used to putting the shade down before every fight.
