Uniqueness vs. Balance

One of my favorite parts of the Elder Scrolls games is how unique you can make your character. Through the choices you make to the armor you wear. I think that being unique is one of the many factors that make ES a great game series. With the installment of ESO and the PvP aspect uniqueness went out the window.

ESO wants any character to be able to preform in any role. This is one aspect of the game that I disagree with. I believe the reason we have multiple character slots to to use different characters to fill different role. With the CP now being spread account wide it only takes a few hours to get to max rank.

With one character being able to preform any role skills must be normalized so all classes and races can actually fulfill that role. Making all the classes able to do the same thing really kills the individualistic factor for me. I feel like any other person because we all use the same armor, same skills and the CP. We use the same everything because it is the best. The end game forces us to converge to one build to be as effective as possible.

I think that the end game should allow us to diverge as much as possible. Its should force us to build off of our unique strengths. I want to have a completely unique build and still be effective as someone running a meta build.

Thats my piece. What do you all think?
Played for about 2 years on Xbox and did everything you can do (-emp).
Still pretty new to PC-NA.
