Today I was a part of a 12-player group who played through the Hel Ra Citadel on normal difficulty.
Repeat, NORMAL difficulty.
All players were in BIS gear for the most part, so our troubles had to do with the damage enemy npcs were doing as well as their defenses. We had two spots where we had extreme difficulty. The first was after the area where there are two paths to follow before they rejoin. At the spot where the players re-join after splitting up, there is an intense battle against a large group of enemies who do intense amounts of damage. Several of us died repeatedly, including my magisorc wearing 5 pc. Necropotence and 4 pc Elegance with the Slimecraw monster set. For my combat style, I keep my pets out, use the imp's AoE and Lightning Splash, keeping Crit Surge up as well as Conjured Ward and support my pets with heavy basic attacks from a distance.
Even spamming CW every few seconds, I still went down and needed to be revived. Then at the final battle of the trial against The Warrior, we were all dying left and right. I was lucky enough to only die once and that was only because I kept spamming the Conjured Ward repeatedly when targeted by his AoE. Three other players died trying to revive me, but we finally managed to beat him. This was an insanely difficult trial and that was on NORMAL difficulty, not Veteran.
With the changes being made on the PTS, I see no way for such content to be even remotely playable. With all the trouble players are having keeping enough magicka or stamina to survive, then trials, even on normal difficulty, will become impossible. The proposed changes have me very worried for the future of the game as far as my being able to succeed in completing such content.

Necro + Elegance + Slimecraw is far from BiS.
And Crit Surge in a Trial? Why? Did you not have healers and tanks? And why not Power Surge, the Magicka morph?
I don't see any mention of Elemental Blockade, either. And why are you using unmorphed Lightning Splash and Conjured Ward?
There's no damage on The Warrior that you need to shield through, even on vet. Stay out of the red and block the fireworks.

Oop to CriT Surge, you're right. I have POWER Surge morph instead. :P
I have one of the poorer sets among the group and lack BiS myself, but most of the group WERE in BiS gear. I've since upgraded Slimecraw to Ilambris (I needed shoulders). Also, I'm one of the lesser-skilled players and have slow reflexes compared to most seasoned players, but the more skilled and seasoned players were dying rather often, even more than I was. If we can't keep enough resources and spell-strength to keep our defenses up now, what chance will we stand in trials after the patch? THAT was the point of my thread.
