How different would ESO be if it pushed it's 'M' rating?

I'm talking like fleshed out Gore in combat mechanics such as dismemberment from physical attacks, blood on your sword from jabbing with Ransack, etc. Or including full on nudity for character models when you don't have anything equipped. The pros would be the fanbase actually praising ZOS for once for giving us an experience that allows more of the nitty gritty, the cons however would force more parents to keep this game out of the hands of their kids they let play, not to mention the expected flesh parties that would take place in every player hub.

Then there's the obvious question of, "does the game even need that stuff?" Need? Of course not, it's fine as is, and the problems that kind of mature, adult content could and or would create probably may outweigh any kind of beneficial outcome to our gaming experience. But just for poops n' giggles anyway, how would you as the player react to a bit more of a darker, red light district Elder Scrolls? Would it enhance your experience in the game world, or would you just discard that armor and dance like a dark elf in front of people trying to use the Banker.

The closest thing we get to something darker' currently is Razum Dar flirting with you (at least during main quest and if you're a dunmer lady) or the two dudes in the Ebonheart Inn.

This game is PG rated, 12 rated at best. No swearing, very little blood, no nudity (although i have no need for that I'm sure there's some guilds that roleplay that do) and apart from a few story lines there's nothing too graphic.

I'd love them to kick it up a notch or 3

People could definitely argue the "True" rating this game has based on the actual content in it. Had to recheck my Box but the Mature rating is basically for Sexual Themes (nothing actually Sexual..) and Mature Language, (I've heard a few, but does the game have any F bombs? I don't recall ever hearing one.)

As for the nudity, a nifty little feature could be the inclusion of a simple toggle on/off setting for character underwear underneath the Hide Helmet one. That would defeat the need to make underwear their own separate clothing items, not to mention it may go unnoticed by more casual (younger) players that don't have the patience to sort through the Settings.

Hmmm... when I need to satisfy my bloodthirst, I go bite someone.. the only way to get your face/hands smeared with blood. xD

I would totally like it if the game had a bit more dark atmosphere about it though.

    Did someone say bewbs ( . )( . ) ?
    Count me in.

settings -social- set profanity filter off,
    takes away the censor

Its a dark game as it is. nudity is much lighter than some of the themes that run through this game. Blood and guts why not.

They should make it MA not sure if ya hve that in the states tho. The first baldurs gate game in the late 90's was pretty dark. Not sure if they would want to reproduce some of the themes it had. Though it could be a reference point.

Can we at least dye our underwear?

I discussed this with one of the people in Customer Service years ago and the answer was that it had been considered but some in authority thought it was "too naughty."

Please respect us a little more than this. I doubt if full nudity will ever come; some dirty-minded politician would probably scream too much. But I want underwear that is in some other color than skidmark brown.

I would totally like it if the game had a bit more dark atmosphere about it though.

How about a class dedicated to evil the way the Wardens are dedicated to nature? A lot of people have suggested necromancer. Vampires and werewolves are different orders of being, not evil mortals.

It wouldn't add anything to the game for me, honestly.

I don't need blood or nudity to get immersed in the game.

I wouldn't mind, but I don't particularly care that much.

I would rather have them improve the character models themselves, but I guess why not both.

There is already *** (non consensual sex acts), slavery, pregnant women killing, drug addicts, prostitution, bdsm, and other heavy themes in the game. You just have to read the quests.................

Actually someone was complaining the the blade of woe was too graphic when I first started the game so I'm not sure how much mileage we'd get out of bloodier combat.

Also be aware that there are foreign markets they would be locked out of if they had more blatant mature themes. The blood censored German version of TF2 comes to mind here.

Not everyone cares for that at that point it is just being edgy for the sake of being edgy, gore is way over done in entertainment. Anyways conan do it and it was way over hyped because of that alone.

I'd like ESO to use its M rating more honestly. It may indeed be labeled M by law but the material mostly feels PG-13.

I know that ESO enjoys its vast variety of NPCs for a laugh and good time. But I personally enjoy more serious and mature dialogue.

The "Lusty Argonian Maid" books will have phrases like "just the tip" and "dripping wet" included in the text.
