Templar leveling

decided to roll my main as a templar but as i am going along i am wondering if that was a good idea, because idk if templar dps/healing is a good idea for leveling, has anyone else struggled to level as a templar? or is this a concern that is null and void?

You will DPS more than heal when leveling, at least until you start doing dungeons. Puncturing sweeps does good melee damage while healing the character so that often works well. It really comes down to a personal choice as to what you will enjoy, which I know does not really help.

One of the most awesome things about Templar is that it is a well-rounded and very versatile class. You can melee/range attack with CLASS skills... and on top of that you can DPS and heal self and others at the same time.

Templar is stupid easy while leveling. Just spam Puncturing Sweeps. That's it. It's decent damage, it's aoe, it heals you. If anything actually gets you low on health, use Breath of Life. Once you get Channeled Focus, don't forget to have that up so you can be more sturdy and spam Sweeps longer. If something is one shoting you, get a bit more health (17-20k with food is enough for all the game's content) and/or use Annulment, light armor active skill.

But really you can just Sweep your way through all the open world and half the world bosses

i like how i got actual feed back and ddint get trolled is templar viable in end game as well? altho i got a long ways to go before end game and getting the expac

You could literally beat all "Leveling" content with nothing but Light attacks and no weapons.

I love leveling my templar, and even at CP 180 I try and level my Sorc but I get bored in 5 mins and want to play my templar more.

Grab some training gear and start questing, running dolmens, and kill everything you see. But, don't forget to enjoy the beautiful scenery once in awhile!

If you play PC NA I will be happy to make you some training gear and answer any questions you have.

Templar is currently the hands down best healer for endgame content. That might undergo some changes come Morrowind, which is why you see a lot of people freaking out. They're giving some templar tricks a slight nerf and, most importantly, they're making the stamina support (which is ONLY available to templars now) they have no longer unique. It won't destroy the class though, and templar magicka dps, which is currently very strong, isn't getting affected by these changes at all. Templar tanks can be very strong in dungeons as well but they're subpar in trials due to bad stamina management of their own and lack of cc(though really, anyone but DK tank is generally considered subpar in trials).

So sure, I'd say they are and will be viable.
