Ive mentioned this in another thread.. but im gonna bring it up here and see what others think...

Now that they are making templars less dominate over trial healing and just healing in general... allowing for other classes to now participate in healing moreso since templars will not have its uniqueness there anymore...

Can we makeit to where templars can tank a lot easier then it is now?... I main as a templar tank and i love it but it has its draw backs id like to see some of those draw backs remedied now that it seems that you are trying to make all classes be similar in effectiveness in regard to roles....

And stat restoration ... (which after this youve made it even more difficult)

As far as roots go i have two options that i think would be fair...

Option 1.) Make solar barrage a pointblank aoe that roots all targets around you in the radius that it hits its an insta cast and i think it would be a great way of making this ability useful...

Option 2.) Make luminous shards a multitarget root that way we can use it get our spear passive out of it and the restoration that it gives every 20 seconds....

As far as stat restore is concerned lets be honest yes repentance is great at giving back stamina so long as there are dead bodies... sadly single boss fights this can be an issue.. and you have removed the effectiveness of engine guardian along with this ability for single boss fights... and all thought the change to luminous shards is good..it wont be reliable as it can be iffy at which stat you will get when you need it...

Couple of changes id like to see implanted

Change 1.) Give super nova ultimate a stat restor ability for magika and stamina ... you can leave off health as we have lots of means as a templar to keep getting healed... but if super nova while its out restored a significant chunk of stamina and magika that would help templar tanks out a lot but do not i repeat do not take away its ability to reduce the damage you ar taking otherwise... it already does weak damage so its not like this will make the ability op ...

Change 2.) repentance... two options for this
Option 1.) make it a synergy that can only be synergized in a group every 10 seconds and gives everyone a stam restore... the heal from it is still instant and for everyone...
Option 2.) Allow dead bodies to be repented by everyone not just one person one repent...

CHANGE 3.) Luminous Shards if this is going to be shared with orbs then its needs some uniqueness with it.. i have a few options here...

Option 1.) for 20 seconds allow lumious shards to restore both magic and stam That way its not identical to orbs

Option 2.) have both spear morphs give give a restore to a specific stat... although makeit slightly less then what the base ability does, however being a guarantee rather then which ever stat is lower at the time... so lets say luminous shards let it only give stamina back every 20 seconds you know luminous shard will give you stamina back and can be synergized by an ally to get stam back... while also rooting all targets in the surrounding area... this would be a great tank ability... where as you can have blazing spears give back only magika every 20 seconds but then it also does damage over time..a great dps ability...

One last suggestion .. if we are trying to make all classes have access to abilities other classes have through different skill ines.. such as shards is basically orbs... and now breath of life heal basically works like the resto staff heal...

Can you please make a universal pull ...i know a lot of dragon knights will hate that i suggest this..but i would love there to be a universal single target pulland i think the trapping webs morph tangling webs would be a great spot to put a single target pull instead of the synergy fearing the enemy just drop any synergy ability it has..and make it a pull..

This wouldnt just help templar tanks this would help all tanks across the board... its not a absolute necessity for tanking to pull adds but it sure comes in handy if you want it ...

    You are asking for more Templar abilities, now that's a good one. I will be waiting to see what else is going to be nerfed in the next patch, so sick of it. Biting jabs perhaps ? Is that what PvP players will complain about next?

    The got BoL , repent, and shard nerf so anything can get a can of @Wrobel whoopazz.

    Solar Barrage should apply Defile, have a slight dps buff, and not mini snare you

    That wont give us a root though the stun never rooted multiple targets on spear or shards... i want an effective root... i dont i chose barrage cause it already hits multiple targets and is insta cast instead of having to select the spot i want it... eithe would work but i just want a multi target root out of one of them

    I believe the pvpers are going after radiant oppression next i see a lot of people still complaining about it wont be at all surprised if the devs hit it again. After the last nerf

    Change 1, they just nerfered the DK passive that gave stats back when using an ult so I doubt this idea will move. Besides, for magika the Templar still has channeled focus.

    Change 2, they clearly wanted to remove the group stam restore from this skill and the suggestion made here would make it even stronger than it was before.

    I am not suggesting I like all the changes made, but these suggestions seem to go against what the devs are attempting. I think time is best spent to give feedback directly to the changes already being made.

    #1 i know but they didnt take it away completely from dk.. and we are templars still have trouble with restoring stamina with out having to use repent which requires dead bodies..not all boss fights have adds... repent can still give stamina back just its a first come first serve ability that doesn't seem fair at all when other abilities can do this with out a stipulation like repent has... thats why im suggesting and ultimate stat restore... im not asking for it to fill my bar but to atleast give me some restore....

    #2 i said above repent still gives back stam they need to fix it to where everyone using repent then can repent off the bodies... it doesnt seem fair only ones gonna get the benefit from it... and luminous shards although nice is a 20 second wait time which is a long time to wait for stam when you need it .... ill give you that people need to be atleast more aware of their resources but sometimes things happen ...

    Either way i get what you are saying focus on what they have on test now.. the things ive suggested above are things ive wanted for a long time as a templar tank to help increase my effectiveness as a tank and since they said they arent finished with the changes i felt like id take a stab at it maybe get a few eyes etc.

    I had pvp in mind. Templars don't really need a root imo even in PvE. In Trials DKs can handle that and Dungeons are a joke.

    So i brought this up in the two other threads but since this is my own discussion..i think id like to change my idea of what repent should do ...

    Repent should be a staimina steal rather than what its like now... basically works just like restoring aura just make it steal stamina for 12 or 16 seconds whatever it already does... that way this is a set and forget ability ... it already does it for magika i dont see an issue for it with stamina... and that way its useful at all times not just when here are dead bodies...

    Then as far as CC for templars are concerned... i just found out templars used to have an ability called blinding light.... it was a cc why not bring this back?..(mind you i have no idea why it was taken away as i wasnt playing this game back then) . other classes can succefully hold templars down and multiple targets down or keep them rooted for a period of time..templars should be no different..i dont know the reason for getting rid of blinding light bu ti feel it should come back and it should replace either eclipse or healing ritual ..since it hink both of those are the lesser used abilities templars have...

    Tl;dr

    Make repent a staminasteal
    Bring blinding light/flashes back as it was
