So the only example I currently have has to do with Crypt of Hearts, as it's the one fresh in my mind, But I know this happens in numerous other dungeons.
Nerien'eth in COH2 clearly is using a staff in the Lich style. When you defeat him and he drops "nerien'eth's Forsaken Staff" it's a Daedric style staff.
Archmaster Siniel is using a Dunmer styled Staff, when he is defeated he drops the Archmaster's Ritestaff, which is in Ancient elf style.
Ilambris-Zaven is using a daedric style staff, when he is defeated he drops Zaven's Doomstaff, which is also in ancient elf style.
If any one has other examples please feel free to list them.
I'm aware this is kinda a minor thing. But for me, one of the things that first drew me to the elderscrolls was the very fact you could defeat an enemy and obtain Their weapon for yourself by rite of conquest. You see an enemy with a weapon you like, and you defeat them and take it, that simple. For common enemies, I could let it slide, but for the more unique encounters and especially bosses, to have a recreation of the weapon they used symbolizes and embodies your victory over them.
We already see this in the monster sets, the molag Kena shoulder piece looks like you took it off her armor as a trophy. Some of the helms look like you hollowed out the skull of your enemy to make it. So maybe it's something the art team could look into an implement? Just a suggestion.
"Why settle for just stabbing your foes when you can roast them alive in a gout of arcane fire?"
