Healer Down!

Ok seriously, can we at least get a class change, templar healers will either become another mule or delete reroll as Warden Healers.

I can except being forced to play the new class, even paying $$ to do so. But, with 10 leveled and geared characters I am really not looking forward mindlessly grinding 1-50 then shards and books and fighters guild and pvp and undaunted. ...................

Class change would save 100 hours of painful redundant grinding so we can actually play the class the same as we play the current classes, hunting for the new gears and achievements etc.

Lol knowing pugs then it would be /kick templar if they cannot switch to dps.

I don't think the Templar will be replaced by the warden though having one of both could be good.

Cleans that's always available, magika regen skill that's just as good and deploys faster. Shards still have a benefit if not moving, ever have issues grabbing a orb synergy during the one second it will be available?

Drastic changes! How would any class adapt to such a massive nerf?

How have they forced you to become a "mule"???

Basically Templars are on the same level as every other class now. I am sorry that you are no longer a walking healing god...

...Make sure and send out notices so that I may attend your Templar Funeral too.

In fact, Templars toolkit may be better still than most every class, sans Warden...which will be nerfed quickly after purchase anyways. I have said for months that Templars are OP as far as healing is concerned and have held a monopoly on the healing class. When I have said this, I get the "get gud" or "L2P" response.

Well...L2P in this new world or re-roll as a Warden. Just be prepared, the Warden class will receive nerfs too very soon.

There you go live in denial, that is one option, just thinking about future. Play whatever way you want, most of all just have fun.

Although being forced to go through the time sink of leveling everything for the 11th/12th time doesn't sound like fun to me, if you like it great have a good time.

These Templar Nerfs won't make NB, Sorc or even DK healers any better though. All they are doing is replacing Templar Healer with Warden healer.

I made a Templar originally because I wanted to play a healer. So choosing a class with a full skill-line dedicated to healing sounded like the most solid option, and I see nothing unfair in that. Why shouldn't Templars be the best healers/support class when 1/3 of their class skills are made for that?

If our healing edge is taken away, can we at least get something in return? No point having a full healing skill-line if it's made redundant.

Shards has the benefit of doing decent damage as an bonus, I have it up most of the time.

With the BoL changes to cone I can drop wall of elements as I have to stand behind the DD at all time.
I use BoL mainly if DD takes heavy damage, this is often as they run around trying to avoid red so I don't know there they are.

And I switched to healing as I never managed to get any decent dps on the templar and like healing.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Healing on a Warden will be better than any other class, so play whatever you want, but, it doesn't change the fact that any non-Warden will be a subpar healer.

Templar will be good enough next patch:
    - AoE magicka steal - no doubt that morph will be chosen by default now
    - minor mending which will stack with major from resto HA
    - a support skill that refunds resources to the caster every time the synergy is activated
    - ability to target burst heals better
    - AoE HoT over large area
I have a Templar vet char and besides a few morph changes I will not do anything. In no case would I relegate her to a moving container.

Because they have a full skill line dedicated to healing/ support. They should be alot better at healing than the other classes.

If they wanted to redo the skill lines to give templar more dps capabilities then the change wouldn't be as bad. But ZOS designed them to be the goto healer class. Now they are backtracking their own decisions.

They are the only class with a complete class skill line that revolves around healing/ support. So why shouldn't they be the best at healing/ support?

I don't play a templar alot but this change is still ridiculous. They should be the best healers and zos designed them to be that way from the beginning. But now they have a new class they want people to play as a healer.

From a pvp perspective as a solo/small scale magplar playing in no cp campaign, templars lack mobility that other classes have and you buff yourself while standing in circles, while others can get these buff without such mobility loss, no good reliable stun, you don't have any real damage mitigation like dk or magsorc shield stacking, you don't have a good burst like sorc/nb the only good thing that kept you unique and help survive against zergs was the fact that you have great healing.

Jesus beam won't save you if you cannot burst down below 50% health and survive while doing it solo. I'm not saying that magplars cannot be played, I do main one and with changes I'll still stick with it, but I'll be just gimping myself compared to other classes and will be left at unfair disadvantage.

If ZOS takes away major mending, at least give some mobility, like not having to stand in circles to buff yourself and having some sort of better damage mitigation, making sun shield scaling better, because right now it's only viable with high health build.

By stay back like a healer should, and not spamming BoL. Even before I started putting points in CP waited till I had like 80 in each tree I never had resource isses as a Temp Healer. BoL should only be used if there is OH S*** moment, or right when there is an attack with spikey damage, which you can predict.

Otherwise you are doing low costed spells and HoTs. Sure maybe now I can't run up and spam javelin to help dps, but that was never really my job anyway. OMG does that mean DPS have to be more responsible for what they do and where they are how can they ever adjust to not hopping around like idiots the entire fight then complain when jump right into a big red dumb circle on the ground.

    Well, I disagree.

DK shouldn't DPS, because they have a class skill line dedicated to tanking? Nightblade shouldn't do anything except for hiding because they have a skill line dedicated to ... hiding? Templar has 2 skill lines dedicated to DPS as well. ZoS designed Templar to be either tank, dps or healer, not just healer. Templar's DPS capability isn't bad at all. They were Meta last patch, now they are not FOTM but still very strong regardless.

Plus, they will still be stronger than other classes in healing next patch, even if these changes go through. The thing is that other classes now will have a chance to compete with Templar for a spot in vet trials. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Well, actually it depends on Warden's Major Mending uptime, but I highly doubt it will be any higher than DK's Major Mending uptime.
