NOT A PTS RANT DISCUSSION FYI. This discussion is about labeling cp. I am currently 270 cp and I would like to get to max but I don't know if that will ever happen. The problem is how long it takes to get to max cp. So rn if I do an entire run of skyreach with xp pots ( I don't have enough money for training gear) I get about 1 cp per run. That's a little crazy. But as your cp goes up, you'll get about 1 cp per two runs. THATS INSANE. How am I suppose to get to max. Cp if I'm going to have to run skyreach like 100000 times. I go to school so the only time I have to play is on the weekends. And I know some of you will say well if you grind skyreach for like 16 hours over the weekend it shouldn't take that long. Uh no. I can't be the only one that wants to die after grinding skyreach for like an hour. Plz give me some advice...

Focus on your player skills by doing group content, listening to advice and working on your reaction times.

You'll be a better player, CP will matter less and whilst you're doing all that content you'll earn more CP without thinking about it.

I came back to the game 480 CP in three months I am 650(ish) and I didn't "grind" XP more than just logging in and playing the game and doing dailies. Whilst I have a lot more free time than you did it adds up fast.

cp grind is the most brain dead thing you can possibly do in this game, and contrary to popular belief, high CP does not make you a god

CP is PERCENTAGE increase in stats, not flat values, that means if your baseline gear setup for dps, tank, or heal is garbage, then the percentage increase is barely noticeable

I finished vMA by cp274 on khajit stamblade, farmed and got all my weaps by cp310, flawless by cp350, first vet trial hardmode by cp400, all vet trial hardmodes and vMoL by cp500.

and yet there are cp600's who are still bashing their heads in stage 5 of vMA, possibly never attempted by hardmodes, or even vet trials for that matter. Who thinks they have figured out a new meta because they stomp vet dungeons.

you want advice? your journey should be to gitgud like everyone else, but the answer to getting good is NOT cp

good luck on your journey, it'll be long, but make sure you're taking the right path

When EverQyuest was new and hugely popular, if you were relatively close to the level cap you could play all night and not even see your xp bar move. If you died often enough, you could even lose a level.

Characters level much more slowly in an MMORPG than they do in a single-player RPG. By a factor of 10 or more. It's the nature of the beast. With that said, levels come ridiculously quickly in ESO compared to other games, and ALL content is available to you almost immediately, regardless of your level.

CP make for a nice bonus for continuing to play, but I don't even know what my character's CP is. There's plenty to do, and I'm able to do it, which is all I care about.

    Everquest 1 'Hell Levels'.

No thread about long journeys or grinding complaints will ever make me think 'aw poor you'.

    EVER. I still have nightmares.

You'll get through this. Here. Hold my hand.

Any game with monthly fees seems to have multi-month grinds for some reason...

Don't worry about CP. Just play the game and CP will come to you. Spend your time doing things you enjoy in the game and then the next thing you know you have 600 CP.

A few things I suggest would be:
    - Do pledges for end game gear
    - Do normal trials

When I was grinding in Skyreach I used CP 150 training gear, that shouldn't be expensive to get. If you really really want it and don't have the gold contact me in game @vamp.emily.

Thanks for the feedback. So what your saying is i shouldn't let my cp hold me back and I should try out everything and just let my cp level itself up

This, do that you like most, see cp as an bonus for playing a lot. As other says player skill is most important, then gear and finally cp.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
