Hello, I wanted to suggest some ideas for possible changes/implementations for various Vampire mechanics/abilities and I, of course, also want to know, what you guys think from them.
So, firstly, I want to suggest a morph/new ability, that is a travel power. What I mean by that is, that, when activated, the character transforms himself into a cloud of mist, with a similar appearance of the already available mistform ability.
The difference is, that the movement is significantly faster, than running, but slower, than a not upgraded mount.
I thought of this, because, with the One Tamriel update, it is much easier, to become a Vampire at early levels, where a mount is still too expensive. The ability can also be used indoors, which would be very useful in trials, if you have to catch up with your group-mates.
This ability would only change the looks of the character (mist) and buff the movement speed.
Otherwise it would grant no other benefits. (maybe dmg reduction/better stealth when morphed, if it is a standalone ability, rather than a mist-form morph).
It would take nothing to activate it, and it would stay active, as long as you want (like the aegis from the Sorcerer).
If you attack in this form, it will automatically deactivate itself.
Phew, that was the first one, the second one, is more of a personal preference/hope.
It is an idea for a change to the feeding animation. Now, I know just outrageously asking to implement a new animation isn't really the way to go, but I don't know, how to otherwise ask this.
I would love to see the feeding animation being a melee(?) one, by having your character coming up on their victim and actually biting it with their teeth. Much like the blade of woe, this could be a low- to non experience take down, since the character empties their victim of their entire blood.
Alternatively, it could just be a different animation, that let's the victim live and wouldn't need a rework of the wild lows(?) passive.
That way, stealth/combat biting on players in PVP would still be possible.
Third idea.
The third idea is, that you can bite, and therefore turn, players around the entirety of Tamriel without the need of the shrine.
Instead, there would be either an option, that either allows, or forbids Vampires to bite you (this option would forbid it by default, so no new players, that aren't familiar with this aspect, can have a bad or confusing start in the game.
The option would, of course, be blurred out in the menu, if the character already is/became a Vampire.
The second option could be, that the bitten one receives a messages, that reads, that you have been bitten by a Vampire and if you would like to accept, or decile the turning process.
The fourth and last suggestion, that I want to make, is, that Vampires have fangs. I know, this is, again, pretty outrageous, asking for a model change of the teeth of Vampire characters, but still. The immersion value would rise immensely (at least for me :P).
Argonians, Orks and Khajiit would have longer fangs, than other humanoid races. However they are (maybe?) visible on every race. (tips of the fangs would be visible under the upper lip.
