Does EDT run 4 hours 56 minutes behind GMT instead of the full 5 hours as stated everywhere?
There i was running down the Daggerfall High Street like a loony to get my last 6 writs cashed in before the 10:00 EDT (15:00 GMT) deadline. Got to the top of the stairs leading down to the dock, sweat belching from my forehead. 'It's going to be tight', I thought. I leapt off my slow ass mount and started roll dodging down the last of the steps to make up ground. With a final mad dash to the writ boxes I activated the closest.
The Alchemy box popped opened and I immediately dropped some Wormwood and a Sip of Health potion into the box (being very careful not to break it). The reward window opened but to my absolute horror...no gift box. 'Wait a minute' I thought. It was 14:55 (GMT) when I finished crafting the last writ and I knew there was no way in Couldharbour that it took me over 5 minutes to get from the Woodworkers to the harbour.
A quick Alt+Tab and sure enough. 14:57 (GMT). I checked the website just to make sure -
•The event begins on April 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM EDT, and ends on April 18, 2017, at 10:00 AM EDT.
Hmmm....maybe EDT runs 4 hours 56 or 55 minutes behind GMT, not the 5 hours I was led to believe. TBH, I'm not that bothered but when the sites states a time, they should try to stick to it. Just a pity they dont do this with the Hireling timer.
