More nerfs to improve PvP, will this continue until PvE is unplayable?

Seems like the trend, nerf everyone to make PvP "balanced", at what point does this make vMA, vet trials etc. Unplayable with weak classes for everybuild?

    Causal players won't care as they mostly RP or do overland content which will still be *** easy

    Elite/Veteran players will adapt and roll around new meta and they will be fine as well

    But people who sits in between 2 categories will take the hardest hit, pugging in dungeons(4 man) will be harder no matter what considering most people don't offer good support/DPS already... So better only play with friends/guild mates from now on just to make your life easier

    Not exactly.

    Eventually it'll get to a point, predicted now, where the veteran players simply do not have the DPS capacity or sustain capacity to complete high end content. Maelstrom is a great example.

    I am not a elite player and I fear what you said might be the case. I don't mind them removing CP cost reduction as it caused more harm than good in both PVP and PVE...But what their doing now is nerfing any possible ways for players to sustain, like whats the rationale behind nerfing light and medium armor passive? And why nerf the worm set from 5% to 4% its not overperforming what so ever, and also magicka steal from 400 to 300, combine with how they mess around the orbs and shards synergy it's just too much for anyone to take

    The wholesale nerfs were not PvP driven. That much is clear after reading what the devs have to say.

    You are in an mmorpg. This is like asking will hens lay eggs? For all eternity and beyond hens will lay eggs and devs will assume nerfing is fun for pve'ers.

    With the exception of some hardmode trails this game's PvE content is easy mode. Plus you'll be seeing a slight single target damage increase with the introduction of the new CP Star master of arms, and the front load scaling of stars. So just add a little more sustain into your builds... It's not that hard.

    Sustain is overrated. Why is it so hard to heavy attack?

    I fought an Emp group inside a keep for 15 minutes last night 10 on 20 to the point where the Emp group retreated out of a keep they had already seiged down with only 745 magic recovery. I never came close to running out of magic. I'm convinced some of you just push A A A A A A A A and then die only to respawn on the forums covered in salty tears.

    Also these nerfs are not PVP related and they are especially not elite PVP player related. Really good PVPers adjust on the fly all the time. You could nerf every ability I have ... Radiant took a 21% reduction last patch ... and I'd still figure out something. Mediocre PVPers will then latch onto what the best PVPers do. The only problems will be when PVErs go to Cyrodiil and get insta killed because they don't have the experience that even mediocre PVPers have.

    As usual a significant majority of the nerfs are directed at PVE, and a significant majority of the tears are from PVE players. PVPers are just the scapegoat for all the stuff you ruin by doing 80 trillion DPS on a boss you've run 438,429 times.

    PvE DDs will simply have to weave more heavy attacks in their rotation. Which for stamina is not that hard to do since they can be cast quite easily with rapid strikes which is the main spammable skill. Also for magicka is not that bad either since heavy staff attacks have certain benefits when it comes do damage. Overall the changes will probably reduce DPS a bit, and make people actually think about pressing those buttons as fast as they can. Rotations will be slower but I expect most people will adapt theirs in a matter of days. I think the hardest hit will be 2W magicka builds, which have no way of restoring magicka from heavy attacks. I expect magicka sorcerers, especially pet build and DKs will still be on top when it comes to DPS, because the latter have a big bonus to heavy attacks.

    None of nerfs they released are going to improve PvP at all, they are going to make it impossible for solo and small scale players while zergs will remain the same, in PvE they are making it harder for casual-average-good players while elite players will struggle more than ever, the elitism will increase by a lot and I expect trials carry and vmsa carry to increase their price by atleast 150%.

    Please it's the 6th time today I found people like you who have no *** idea about anything.

    Please, take your time, read the whole thing and then you make a thread.

    I just know that as we get weaker and weaker with each patch and update, I'm starting to look more and more at other MMORPG's.

    I love ESO, but at the rate that the Devs are going, it's becoming too much of a chore to keep a character... well, doing anything.

    These upcoming changes are going to make even just running around in the world to relax, a chore. I don't play this game because I want the challenge of a second career. I play it to have a relaxing romp in a High-Fantasy MMO. These upcoming changes are making that relaxing romp a *** number crunch that I really don't fancy having to do every time I log-in.

    These changes are going to make both PvE and PvP suffer, and for no other crime than just wanting to play the game.

    Are you guys listening @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

    Because I will take my money elsewhere if these player-weakening changes keep rolling down the pipe. Do not let these changes on the PTS make it to the live servers.

    i'm mediocre at PvE, and stil can complete vMA with all classes with no trouble at all. If you think that vMA will be "unplayable" with this, you really suck at PvE.

    This nerf isnt for Cyrodiil. Im willing to bet most of these changes will negatively impact PvPers in Large Scale PvP. Theyll adapt because thats what they always do. But what these changes are aimed at is making Battlegrounds more enticing to PvPers and PvEers alike. The reductions in resource management are meant to quicken the pace of matches in Battlegrounds. So players have more reason to jump into them more and more, over and over again.

    This isnt a "PvP negatively impacting PvE" issue. Its a "New content is more important to ZOS right now" issue.

    Sooo this is the point where you usually list builds, what your running and alll that.

    Kinda irrelevent tho. I urge everyone reading this who disagrees with the changes, who might have to reroll or redo stuff for these? Quit. Because there's nothing here left for us.

    Are you really playing your way? My character, a Magplar by the way, will be only minorly affected by the nerfs. Why? Because I run a build that isn't the same as everyone else so I avoided the nerf bat. Meanwhile every person who jumped on one of the last few FOTMs is losing their minds. I highly doubt you were playing your way because a majority of the complaining is coming from people who listened to others telling them what they had to do.

    I'm pretty sure that "can complete vMA with all classes/no trouble" automatically makes you much better than mediocre at PvE.

    Having a character for PVE and another for PVP sounds too depressing to me, i rather the changes to keep the same for both PVE and PVP.

    Essentially this, I don't want the game to be balanced around the no-lifers and Youtubers who play this using spread sheets, because I don't want to be that guy. If the game is meant to be played your way, making characters weaker and weaker will force them to find optimal builds just to get by. When you balance for min-maxxers you eliminate casuals.
