Im in a decent guild some of the members are rly good.
I asked if vamp or ww or non would be best for stam nb
I was told to go vamp cause of the fast sneak and extra mag/stam that true tho?
Is vamp smart move?

It makes failure more deadly, but it can make in and out easier

You really can use that extra magic pull going with vamp but with how strong magic is and the desto ult is if you get caught in it then just say goodnight

Yes definitely. The speed in stealth is essential

The stealth speed for vamps is nice in Cyro and the extra regen is a nice addition as well. Being a ganker the issues presented above about the fire damage should be less since you would not be going up against groups as much.

I used to stack night silence with the vamp speed and movement was fast which was also great and fun when ganking in Cyro.

Yes, for ganking vampire steath speed is very handy on stam NB.

No idea about dungeons. Done a few with khajiit vampire stam NB, and didn't seem particularly worse with vampire, but I don't participate much in PVE. I imagine unless it's completely filled with fire, vampire undeath and mist form make you tankier.

Vampire is a great idea if you want to go the ganker route. I did this a few months ago with a wood elf, and it was a lot of fun for a while, but, for me at least, it got old pretty quick. You can always just feed to go back to stage 1 if you're wanting to do Vet dungeons, though this would probably only be necessary on dungeons where fire damage play a big part (City of Ash, etc).

It goes beyond just stealth speed. Having a little extra mag regen on a stamblade is also good for those cloaks, fears, shadow images, mage lights or whatever you may decide to use.

Gotta say, after playing a werewolf scout wearing nights silence for a full year before starting a vampire, I was really PO'd when my vampire started sneaking at the speed of light. Set gear + rapid manuever + stage 4 makes a vampire like a freaking road runner in stealth.

I'm no game balance guru, but seriously that sprint-speed stealth stuff appears way too OP. And a majority of the "please buff x" threads I see on forums are asking for more vampire buffs compared to werewolf.

The Night's Silence set stealth bonus doesn't still stack with the vampire stealth speed, does it?

    Not for maybe 2 years

Vampirism in my opinion is a requirement for the roaming ganker type play-style.

My vampire is wearing jailbreaker for the minor expedition buff. Whether the effects of the set are helping or not I really can't tell since the speed was already insane without the set buff.

The vampire Bosmer Dragon Knight is still sneaking fast enough to kick up a dust storm whenever I use rapid manuever. The combination is outrunning other characters who are clearly sprinting.

I assume the speed would only increase if my vamp was a nightblade using the concealed weapon passive on top of everything else. Whether it does or not doesn't change my opinion that it's OP compared to playing a wolf.
