Crowd control skills work great on trove scamps, @aliyavana ... so they don't escape back into their portals.

For me, crushing shock is the go to skill on my sorc main ... but there are a number of good root or stunning skills to choose from.

Unfortunately the spawn is random and there aren't any add-ons that I'm aware of to show locations.

So, the best bet is to get on a quiet campaign and farm Tel Var in your Alliance home section of the sewers (I'm assuming you're doing it on your AD main).

If you're unimpeded by other players or enemy players, there should be one or two of them in a one-hour sewers farm.

There was a forum thread or post a year or so ago, showing all the possible spawn locations and routes of the scamps as well as some tricks for catching them, but its probably burried pretty deep now. If you really want that (pretty worthless) achievment, i recommend digging for it.

Its really hard one, stupidly the Scamp spawns after you've cleaned the room, so basically, you should wait if it appears or no, boring really, if you go to another room, it might spawn right after you leave the room. Best strategy is to clean a room, and drink Coffee, wait for spawn, and clean the room and back to coffee.

I cant say though, maybe they have changed it. I used to love IC back in the days so I played a ton.

Just find a decent loop in the sewers and stick with it scamps spawn in the bigger rooms usually. Once youve learned the spawn point and the 2-3 portal points(1-2 of which can be innterupted) it becomes that much easier in killing them. Having good burst helps

After 4 hrs of grinding I got 3 cunning and 4 drove scamps... whoever creates this achievement is a sadist

It's an achievement you progress whilst doing other things in there. It's not one you're supposed to focus on directly. You're just torturing yourself if your goal is primarily just looking for the scamps.

If you can be anything, be kind.

you can actually interrupt the scamp at the portal- stopping him from leaving- he ll then close it and run to open a new one. so just chase after him and bash him and you ll kill him easily

After 4hrs with party of 3 (including you) you can have about 20-24 scamps, cause they resp after 10mins from their death moment, so you can check location for their spots and just wait them in every nearest spot after killing, when they'll appear people from other spots need to run to you or smn else who have scamp and kill him, so it's about 10-11 mins for 1 scamp depends on party.

So do you need to just be in range to get credit?

This can be done solo in the EP starting area of the sewers to get a kill every 10 minutes.

The top right room has a spawn, the room just below has a spawn and the room just to the left of that second room also has a spawn. In room 1 the scamp will move from north to south, in room 2 it will also move from north to south and in room 3 it will move from west to east.

Each sub area has a respawn timer of a scamp at 10 minutes down to the second after the previous was killed or despawned. The scamp will spawn in one side of the room and move across it and despawn through a portal. If the scamp is damaged or there are players nearby it has 3-4 portal points where it will try to create a portal and despawn. This can be interrupted however the end portal cannot.

Due to the nature of the spawns and locations this makes the EP area the best. You can effectively place yourself in the eastern part of room 3 and if you have a timer from the last spawn you can know precisely when it spawns. If it doesn't show up in room 3 you will run to room 2 and northwards where you will encounter the scamp in the middle of its route and if you don't see it here it will be in room 1 where it will be arriving at the last part of its route. You will most likely need and ult up to kill it in time here. Likewise you will need some sort of speed buff for the entirety of the farm.

Once the scamp dies or despawns start the timer immediately, the next one will spawn exactly 10 minutes after in one of these three locations.

When first arriving at the location you will need to find your first scamp, this is the only random part about the farm. I found it most effective to just keep alternating between room 3 and 2 until I see it. This is tedious and depending on your luck could take quite a while if you're unlucky and get multiple room 1 spawns. Due to this tedious starting phase the farm is best done if you know you can farm for a longer period of time.

The kind of scamp that spawns is also random, my results were 60 % cunning and 40 % trove but others have reported a more even spread.

This took me an entire weekend almost of no lifing to get. But back then Hakeijos were selling for 30-40k each so it wasn't too bad.

Have fun and good luck with the spawns!

Are you sure about that? I've come across several trove scamps while being in process of cleaning the room.

Then make an EP character. Stamsorc. Don't need to get it to max level. What I have given you is THE most effective way of farming them. It's a PvP area and there are no easy solutions.

Edit: Just realized you wanted achievement on main. You can see if you can do it in AD spawn mechanics will be the same.
