Anniversary Event Gift Boxes Should at Least Drop Items That Scale To The Players Level

Opened up a Anniversary Gift Box and got a Purple Recipe (Gold Coast Mudcrab Fries that Scaled from 40 to 44). My level is 160. Seeing it was in a Anniversary Gift Box it should of least scaled to the players level. Oh well off to the guild store with it.

    Hmm. I think the cooking recipes are the only thing in the boxes that have any sort of "level" at all. And they must be reasonably rare - I haven't gotten one in ~280 boxes so far.

    And even then, I wouldn't mind getting a "low" level recipe - it helps to fill in my collection.

    /shrug, just a thought.

    Do you know how rare intermediate Blue and Purple Recipes are? With the changes to One Tamriel, I can sell Blues that used to go for 499 for 4999, and I have a feeling I am just selling to flippers at that point. I love getting these intermediates.

    Now, if you don't have the top tier Purples or Blues, I can see how frustrating it is, but your sitting on a nice pile of gold if you sell this in the guild stores. You can probably sell the Intermediate Blue for what it costs to buy every CP160 Blue, and have money left over.

    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    For what purpose? Those levels are over before you can get the mats endgame is the only cooking that matters.

    Leveling Provisioning. With incremental low blues you can jet through the whole skill line in minutes.

    Also for completionists trying to collect every recipe in the game I'd guess.

    And the purple recipes are good for those doing writs since the master writ chance is based off knowledge of purple and gold recipes.

    They do scale. They scale to your crafting level not your character level. My main crafter is max in all crafts and when she gets mats they're Ruby. My other crafter who only has Alchemy and Provisioning gets iron and jute.

    Master Writs are based off the number of known purple recipes. Right now its costing me 15k+ to catch up on the lower level recipes.

    Provisioning mats are not level based. The ingredients are common across levels.

    @WalksonGraves

    Its not only about the end game. Not for everyone. I have people in my guild who have been playing this game since before release who are not at Champ Rank yet. Also, to collect all the recipes. But, it's OK your not interested in that, keeps the prices down for the rest of us. :)

    @jcaceresw

    Craft Store Improved is the probably the best as it covers all crafts for all alts. There are others, but this is the main crafting addon to get. You can get rid of most of your other ones. Otherwise, Cookery Wiz is an option for Provisioning Only, and I think Sous Chef also has the recipe list feature.

    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Last night I make a set of steel gear for someone. I also made cp160, and cp10. If you craft for friends or guildmates you might find you need more than "endgame" level mats/recipes.
