Okay, I HAVE the banker, and am leaning towards purchasing the merchant. The banker has come in handy a LOT. Not even just for me, but also for others during dungeon runs etc. "Oh I forgot X, let me port to town" "Tythis is at your service"

I had no interest before housing, but it might be nice to have a banker at my house for trading items between characters, since they all log in/out there anyway.

And did you see that thread where the merchant and a clannfear took out a dungeon boss? I might reconsider just for that!

I thought they were a waste for a while, then bought the merchant, used it a LOT and decided to get the banker, which let me send gear to my level 50 in The Wailing Prison.

Sale fell at a bad time for me, unforeseen expenses ate up all my recreational money, so I can't afford to spend anything on'em right now. There's also no way on god's green earth I'd sink $80 on portable banks and vendors when teleporting to town is free. But maybe next crown sale, just so I can stick them in my mansion.

I currently own the merchant, bought it at a previous crown sale.

I love the merchant because I can always empty my inventory of all the junk I pick up (yes I'm one of those people who picks up EVERYTHING). I know I could get a little more value out of deconning it but selling it is so much faster and gives me straight gold back.

The Banker might be nice, but I've kept a habit of keeping all needed sets on my characters at all times so it hasn't been necessary. Only time it might be helpful is if I need to switch my BSW from magDK to magSorc, but I never play my magSorc anymore.

For the longest time I resisted buying them thinking what is the big deal just travel to town.
But now that I bought them I am glad I did as they save so much time and are great for those times when you are in a good farming session and don't want to leave.

I would like to, but even with the crown sale, I think they are still way to expensive. 5000 crowns for ONE of them is just to high priced. I would rather spend them on some exp scrolls and a few vamp and ww bites. Are the useful? Yes they are. Is it worth spending 10k crowns on them? I don't think so, but I know some people do. In the end, to each his/her own.

They are super convenient, but that's a lot of crowns to throw at a convenience. It is really nice when someone can pull one out during trials marathons, but then there's usually someone in the group who has them so I don't need to worry about it.

They are surprisingly more convenient than I thought they would be. I use the banker every day on my alts doing the Crafting Writs chasing the Anniversary Boxes. I already spend enough time on these activities without schleping to the bank to deposit on each Alt. It adds up when doing this on 9 characters. Same with selling Ornates to clear out inventory.

If they ever sold a portable decon station (does not need to make anything, just decon) I would be first in line to buy that.

Banker is by far the best purchase I have ever made in game. A time saver beyond belief. The merchant is meh, but I still bought it for housing so I can have an all in one stop when I go home.

That's a good idea. How about a dwemer construct assistant that just eats the items you feed it and returns crafting mats (i.e. deconstructs stuff for you)

Found the banker invaluable to use for storage.... though I have the merchant I havent really used her that much either cause she is forgettable sadly.

Since the merchant doesn't sell anything or let you repair, and the banker only gives access to your bank and not guild bank + guild stroe, nope.

its a big crown hurdle, but once you buy them you will never regret it. If only they'd let us upgrade them to access guild banks and to repair... even if its just at the house.

Also, crafting writs at the house!
