On my main where my mount speed is 60 seems slower than my alt mount speed which is 60. Main mount 60 speed 60 stamina 60 Capacity. My alt is 60 04 60 in mount upgrades. Is anyone else experiencing this? I was running beside someone with 60 speed and he was slightly faster. Does different mounts matter?

stamina tells how long you can sprint with horse and this has huge impact to
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Different mounts should not matter. Do you have any passives or anything that might impact speed? There is a CP passive that grants a 2% increase in movement speed. I assume it works for mounts as well, but not positive. Perhaps the person you were running beside had that passive.

I do think some mounts feel faster but probably it is just based on the various animations.

My guar mount "feels" slower but I think that is just due to it only having 2 feet compared to the 4 feet of horses and other mounts so the animation of the latter makes them feel faster.

Seems to me levels count as well. Max mount speed upgrade on a level 40 and the 50++s blow by me at far greater than 2%. My 50++s do seem to run faster than my max upgrade 40.

I have this problem as well. I think it has to do with races, as my high elf with 60 speed is a lot slower than my wood elf with 60 speed. I thought it maybe a bug, so I made a new high elf, same thing.

Does your particular character's stamina affect your mount (in terms of making the horse sprint faster/longer periods of time on top of your mount upgrading)?

The type of mount makes a visual difference. A cat seems to move faster than a horse merely because the angle is a little different. Actual speed is the same.

    Both are horses.

Ive been waving it off but for the last few months its seems like my mounts are slower than they used to feel. I dont know if its some sort of trick of the mind or if ZOS secretly nerfed the speed. Ive been assuming its all in my head. But even my Leopard Senche which has always given the impression of going faster than my other mounts at 60 with no buffs now feels just as slow.

mount speed has been jacked for quite awhile, no matter how high your riding skills are they stop/slow/go as they feel like it. no consistency at all, its not confined to roads or off road terrain. add it to the pile of bugs that wont be addressed or fixed, hell it took them forever to even acknowledge it.

Does the movement speed bonus from medium armor carry over when mounted? With light armor magicka builds the meta in PvE and heavy armor builds the meta in PvP, maybe people are thinking back to riding around on a medium armor character in the past. And now they are riding around on a light armor/heavy armor build and have lost the medium armor speed bonus?

Armor passives don't have any effects on mount speed. I don't think, now you have me questioning myself lol. The only speed bonus for mounts is the one in the CP tree in thief WINDRUNNING. Atleast that's what I think.

My main is in light armor, and alt is in heavy armor. So neither of them have any movement speed bonuses yet my alt in heavy mount seems faster than my main in light gear. Maybe it's all just an illusion idk.

I think the terrain bug is back . Movement speed feels broken in general on all mounts .
