So it has popped up several times in forums. Is weather server side or client side? Everyone port to Mournhold and post your current weather below. I'm currently fireside away from game or I'd post mine. Also, if ZOS could swing in and let us know that'd be awesome.

    Weather is client side. I've been grouped with a guild mate in the same instance, I can see them and they can see me, and we had different weather

    This literally happened to me a few weeks ago. I was standing around Mournhold with a buddy, and commented to them about the rain effects. They proceeded to ask me what I was talking about, as according to them the sun was in full-shine. Confused, I asked them to take a screen shot. And it turned out that they really were seeing something entirely different. Even though we standing right next to each other in the same instance.

    It's pretty dang immersion breaking haha. I know in the early days of RPing on this game I'd comment on the weather and everyone would look at me funny. We RPers found this out early on and have since had to agree on what the weather really is that day.

    Client side .. I sometimes run two accounts on two PCs and they often show different weather .. in fact a lot of the animations are client side so you can see two significantly different scenes with two characters standing next to each other.

    Yes, its pretty stupid as you feel stupid standing out in the rain just because other has sun.
    it would also be trivial to fix. just set weather server side on zone and change from time to time. They could even make this fixed with some seed so weather changed on the same time for all clients in zone.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    That's been a bad implementation since launch . You make a video with friends and when they see it , there like , I thought it was storming , but on my end its sunny ...

    Its little details like this which I wish ZOS would focus on quickly fixing. The big deal with an MMORPG is to be immersed in a living, breathing world - if every person is having their own unique weather hallucination it just detracts from the overall experience. And it feels lazy, tbh.
