To expand the long and short of it is what you want from that dungeon. You can only get the helmet drop from vet mode and the jewels on the last boss will only drop purple on vet mode. So to summarise if there's any gear you want relating to monster sets and jewelry from a specific dungeon then you'll have to go veteran.
If it's just for the key you need ask yourself "can I get in a group where the other 3 players know their arse from their elbow. Sounds simple enough but there's a lot of people in the group finder that are just god terrible players. If you have guildies you trust do it with them on vet and activate hard mode at the end and get 2 keys. If you don't have guildies you can trust and don't want to waste hours of your life doing content that some people are incapable of doing, opt for normal. Better still if you're good enough yourself you can solo normal dungeons so it's an easy single key.
