If you are talking about Tremorscale I believe its more used in a PvP setting, but I have throw it on while out farming and questing for some DPS for my tank.

I use it on my tank in vet dungeons.... it helps with dps. you really don't need super sustain or health unless you're in trials.

What i use on a magicka DK:

    2 tremorscale
5 whitestrakes OR Tavas OR histbark... whatever your flavor is..(3 body and 2 sword/shields)
5 ebon OR Eternal Yokeda (3 jewelry and 2 body)

I also have been trying the ice staff... its interesting. Either way though, i use tremorscale because its fun.

    2 tremorscale
    5 whitestrakes or etc....
    3 yokeda
2 pc sword/shield that adds health or resistance
    and maelstrom defending ice staff.

The extra damage is really nice and you're still very survivable in any dungeon.

Tremorscale works great in PvP and would be useful if your Veteran Dungeon/Dragon Star Arena build was made to deal a lot of damage, if not, then don't even bother, especially not in Trials. On its own it doesn't add enough damage to justify in PvE. The snare is amazing in PvP but not really necessary in PvE where you would just root spam the enemies instead without them trying to roll dodge out of it.

In PvE the extra DPS from tremorscale is negligible but if you are not DK the CC it provide may replace talons to some extent although the radius is quite small.

I'm using chocking talons and obnoxious breath for off-bar so I should be fine.

    It's mostly for pvp tanks.

My sap tank runs grothdar for pve, adds a fair bit of damage on aoe pulls. If you want similar control for pve, I'd suggest sellistrix.

I like it on my DK Stam tank. i mostly pug Vets. Running meatbag sets with bad DPS makes runs take forever.

Hundings, Tremorscale and agility with a couple endurance.

If they die, you still have good survival and decent damage.

Assuming you are running a sharpened 1H sword and applying major fracture to an enemy with your taunt you will increase the group DPS by a whooping ... 1.37K/enemy hit. Crap group DPS will still be crap, just the turd will have a little tuft on the top :)
Mobs have 18.2K resistance, major fracture substracts 5.2K, 1H sharpened weapon another 2.6K which 10.4K physical resistance. That gives a mitigation of (10.4/33)*50% = 15.8% - 33K is the hard resistance cap, which gives 50% mitigation. You will be indicting 84.2% of the tool tip damage. Fully golded Tremorscale set applies 6.5K physical damage every 4s, which is 1.62K. The final damage inflicted, taking into account the mitigation is 84.2% of the raw DPS, which is 1.37K.

The only time Tremorscale is good is in no-CP PvP on a snb build which lacks another strong snare.

But then I question why you aren't using Stampede or Heroic Slash to get your snare in order to accommodate one of the much stronger 2pc sets available to you. Stacking viper + tremor procs since they have the same 4s cooldown might be one justification, but other builds would closely compete with that following the proc crit nerfs.

Tremorscale is a dps loss in PvE compared to alternatives, negligible damage in cp PvP, and redundant if you have a solid snare elsewhere in your build.

Edit: if you aren't doing trials and want to deal more dps, try subbing out one of your two zero damage 5pc sets for a damage set, and/or using medium or light armor. I can solo all 4 man content except CoS, Maz, and a couple fights in ICP and WGT with a light armor destro/resto mageblade, barring fights that require a partner for certain mechanics. You don't need proper tank specs in 4 man groups.

Tremorscale WAS good before homestead. Now its not needed at all. Its better to get snare effect from Stampade or Heroic Slash.

I have a Stamina Dragonknight DPS "for fun" character that uses Tremorscale with a sword and shield. The extra damage whenever I use Ransack is really nice, and coupled with Viper's Sting I can almost one hit (more like three hit) the trash mobs.

You have a "DPS" set up that uses sword and board and Ransack? Either your tanks must LOVE.... you, or you don't run with one I am guessing?

I've been thinking that it might work nicely for a warden. I'm going stamina tank on my future warden, with an ice staff back bar for chill/utility.

    Imagine this in pvp:
    -heavy attack with ice staff
-cast dive (delayed stamina ranged burst)
Heavy, tremorscale proc, and dive all hit the target at roughly the same time for 3 sources of burst damage plus a 70% snare on the target.

I also use it occasionally with Powerful Assault and Knight Errant for a more DPSy tank when I'm with a bad PuG, but on it's own the damage is bad, so if you are really trying to tank in pve don't use it.
