Ok soo anyway to restict Alliances in your guild? ( cant stand seeing an Orc in my guild for example

Now i know the logic behind the system, and in general it works. I would love however for there to be a way to say only players with characters from "Dominion" may be a part of my guild. and if they do not meet such they cannot join, and if we suffer from a recruiting standpoint.. so be it. If this is less of an issue than I am thinking it is please let me know, I am only recently returned and have limited time dedicated to the game. I am coming at this purely from an RP standpoint which has ever been a core consideration of my guild in any game we play.

No there is no restriction on this.

If you're looking for RP limitations on races and factions you would have to make that a recruitment policy and speak with your members as they apply about what is and isn't allowed.

You'll get a smaller application base but will have a stronger set of roleplay based players. I have seen this in other games which focused on RP themed guilds/corporations.

*nods* understood, its just unenforceable unless you constantly watch your roster.. but thank you... we are a tight knit group at moment so not an issue, and will do as you suggest when adding more.

It would be hard to enforce if one of your guild members has a main toon in your Alliance but an alt in one of the other alliances.

With any race any faction... an Orc *can* be part of the Dominion.

A Dominion guild that's racist? How appropriate. Before you know it the Thalmor will start telling you who you can or cannot worship.

Now restrictions like this can be good in many ways. It is best to keep an open mind about certian aspects, sometimes your most powerful allies can come from unexpecting places. Though you don't want a certian race in your guild, such as an orc, you may happend apon an Orc that will become a more powerful ally then many of your own guild members combined. So always take advantage of an oppratunity that presents itself to you.

From an RP standpoint it would make sense to have an orc in your guild. An imperial also.

They've seen how their governing families are abusing power and losing on the war front and chose to go with the wiser and stronger Covenant, cough, Dominion.

The wisest choice is for them to join the Ebonheart Pact. I mean at least we didn't oppresse the Orc race with costant war and sacked their home contry of Ornisium like the Bretons and Redgards have.

You can see the alliance logo beside every player in the guild rosta aslong as they're online. As guild master you could just kick em. Not just the Orcs though. That's racial discrimination lol.

Has an Orc character, suddenly I feel like I'm an outsider in the Dominion alliance. I mean it's all starting to make sense, the constant requests to duel whenever I come into a wayshrine at a major city, or when I'm just sitting there reading my map figuring out where I'm going to next and have people slinging mudballs at me, or all the people blocking doorways so I can't get in. Now I don't think I can play without thinking that all eyes are on me, asking "what is he doing here?"

Now I know what it's like to be Argonian.

uh. my orc is with a dominion (my headcanon is that she is a wood orc from Malabal Tor who basically left her family because she didn't want to go through with arranged marriage).

anyone who has pre-ordered or bought an upgrade, can play any race with any alliance. and roleplay it too. just saying
