I'm not purchasing anymore crowns until ZOS redeems themselves by giving us quality items, and not some stupid crap like a broom or a basket hat.
ZOS should bring back preciously and current crate items, and put them into the regular store at a severe reduce price.

The purpose of this thread sailed right over your head. They want you to give them your money, that's why there's no sale. If you want to give them your money - buy the crowns, they are available for the purchase right now.
The anniversary is really soon. Might be this Tuesday.

They announced the 2016 event on March 29th. They might repeat that schedule - announce on a Tuesday to start the following Sunday - but I doubt the anniversary event is going to start before April 16.

On the ESO Live today I remember now ZOS said the event itself will begin this Tuesday, so April 4th.
Close enough to last year's event!

No, it didn't. The purpose of selling crowns sailed right over yours though.
The sales were only needed if crowns weren't generating enough money. Apparently now with the crown crates and morrowind there is enough money, to the point that the additional money they'd get from you is less than what they'd lose from those who are buying crowns anyway. Thus - no sale.
That pro tip is meh, since the sales aren't guaranteed, especially if they get more clients who aren't cheap.
Wow, the more you tell zos that you want to buy crowns the less likely they are to put them on sale.
And I wouldn't expect a sale anytime soon. Probably not before they implement some more benefits for eso plus (as crown sales devalue the crowns subscribers get). My guess is we will see a sale around the time morrowind launches, as a way to encourage new and returning players to use the crown store.

Yeah, that wouldn't majorly *** off the people who got those items in crates. It ain't happening.

who? So they lost players and/or want to increase interest before Morrowind. Just as predicted. Not enough - so they sell.
The point is, if OP wanted to give them his money - he would without a sale.
