Jesters Festival Motif???

Does anyone feel like this festival is kind of a let down? I mean I have taken Part in a few events and they have been great fun! For Halloween we had Hollowjack motifs to farm in dungeons and delves with our guilds and friends! For Christmas we had the New Life Festival which took us all over Tamriel completing different quests for outfits and the Skinchanger motifs! The Jesters Festival gives 3 quests, 2 titles and a crown I wont use! Really sad that there wasn't something like Jester armour to collect

I wasn't around the the last two so I don't know how much they all compare.

I am surprised there isn't a motif considering the last two had them. Maybe it was to simply slow the motif bloat in game as we've been getting so many so fast for a while now it seems.

Both days I have received nothing but princess delight recipies and a banner on my characters. Could there not gave been more variety?

But the xp boost is worth it, and housing grind is still going on, so festival shouldn't take over it.

Why release more motifs when people already complain there is little to no use for them with crafted sets being obsolete compared to dropped armor. Maybe that will change with Morrowind and the changes they're making could make crafted sets viable again and thus reinforcing the demand for motifs.

Agreed though that this event feels lacking, even more so than the previous ones. Which I thought were lacking in creativity and the quests get old after the first day then it is back to ESO' s favorite thing.... the RNG grind.

Should it have had a motif? Probably.... but ultimately at this point I don't care about motifs anymore unless they release a way to transfer styles between sets or release a wardrobe system that allows us to wear what we want, when we want. Not forced to pay for repeat costumes with minor alterations or costumes in general that are just poor, dye poorly, or look poorly.

Rant over, sorry for straying off subject a bit haha

For some of us the xp boost means nothing. I'm already at CP 600 and have no interest in building another alt, which honestly it takes longer to collect skill points and lore books on console than it takes to go 1-50 without the event boost.

It does help people who like building a ton of alts or people not already at the cap though.

It does seem a bit shallow. I'm hoping, in vain, that they add something later.

I imagine its just a victim of the development cycle being between Homestead and this new thingy in June.

At least the sheogorath motif should have been attained during this event holiday. In chapters of course.

Why would ZoS continue to make motifs when they have their rip-off crown crate store?

This would have been a good place for them to put the grim harlequin motif if it wasn't a crown store exclusive.

I don't care anything about new motifs, but I wish there was some variation in the banners you get, and/or better drops for different prizes besides the banners. After playing this morning, I now have 5 banners. If I decide to do the quests again, I'm sure I'll end up with 7.

Yeah I got to many banners as well they should have made them tradeable, I only did the event on 4 chars and i'm done for now since i got all the achieves on my main char. I ended up with about 8 banners just in 2 days.

Weren't both the Halloween ones pretty much jester armor sets? And then there was the old jester costume, the subscriber loyalty reward jester costume, and now the holiday jester costume, masks, crowns, personalities and so on. I feel like the jester theme is well explored here. Where are the trash-person sets? How are the beloved refuse engineers of Tamriel represented? Sadly there is no Garbage-Person motif. Maybe it's time to broaden our creative base away from even more jester stuff and look for some equally banal alternatives like a chef motif? Stable hand motif? Fishmonger motif? Golden Saint motif? Hey that's even kinda jestery.

It's fine. If it was a memento they can't use it in Cyrodiil

Eh, I'm fine with this event. The dialogue was good, the quests were fun (the first time), and I don't have to grind out a ton of drops to feel like I "completed" it.

I don't think all holiday events should take over the game for their duration--this one is just something fun to do, and some fun consumables (and two good recipes!).
