Body Marking Disappears because of Pet

Started experiencing a weird bug today with having a non-combat pet active causing body markings to disappear whenever I transfer zones or log into the game. When I don't have an active pet, the body marking stays on even upon logging in or transferring zones.
I haven't changed my customization at all since last week. Attempting to put the body marking back on is also a bit buggy. As upon initially highlighting the marking there is no interaction available. I would have to highlight another marking and back. Even then it would take 2 interactions with the marking to put it back on. It seems like the UI is glitched since it's last setting was set to on but the bug is causing it to turn off incompletely. The eye icon for Body Marking in the Appearance section is off though.
The only thing I did change today was to rename the pet. I don't remember exactly if the bug started to occur immediately after renaming though.

Winter-Time

Late lies the wintry sun a-bed,
A frosty, fiery sleepy-head;
Blinks but an hour or two; and then,
A blood-red orange, sets again.
Before the stars have left the skies,
At morning in the dark I rise;
And shivering in my nakedness,
By the cold candle, bathe and dress.
Close by the jolly fire I sit
To warm my frozen bones a bit;
Or with a reindeer-sled, explore
The colder countries round the door.
When to go out, my nurse doth wrap
Me in my comforter and cap;
The cold wind burns my face, and blows
Its frosty pepper up my nose.
Black are my steps on silver sod;
Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;
And tree and house, and hill and lake,
Are frosted like a wedding cake.
