Housing Lag

Is anyone else experiencing Lag inside there home instances? Particularly in Manors that have a large number of decorations?

I have Serenity Falls Estate filled to about 600/700 inventory slots and it's like a darn slideshow every time I load into my home or try to place an item.

I am playing on PS4 NA.

Yes same here. It occurs more frequently from what I can tell with more braziers/lighting

I got my Mathiisen Manor filled 600/600 on PC NA, over 40 lighting items on at all times, 60 FPS constantly, no lag. Dunno what the issue is.

No lag at all in my daggerfall outlook manor at 700 item limit. Around 100 interactable lighting objects including 7 decoy elder scrolls.

Not seeing any lag in a 600/600 house either, getting max fps in the place. Have quite a few braziers, fireplaces and candles too.

That's probably the reason for the item limits, I'm guessing. A ton of items, particularly lights, will lag some computers.

-- Although that still doesn't explain the low item/collectible limits on small and medium houses, though. :/

They are working on lag in housing right now with the stated purpose of increasing the item/player cap, last I heard. This necessarily implies that some folks are definitely already going to experience significant lag on their rigs. Some of that is of course going to be on the client for trying to play at too high of a graphics setting but some of it is just going to be from the sheer number of items, especially the new gambling mounts with a ton of different floating parts.

Good to know they are working on it, however as I stated I am experiencing the issues on PS4 NA, so my settings and graphics are all standardized, I cannot even adjust them if I wanted.

Pretty much. Whilst players with higher end machines may not have issues they're going to need to balance around different specs and not have a system which cripples peoples computers or consoles (might even be balanced just around consoles).
