Status Effects do not apply on damage shields

I've tested only Chilled status effect but I suppose all others can be bugged too. Both npc's or player's damage shields like Annulment grant them some sort of immunity making a lot of weapon enchantments useless.

    Desease could proc in the past. Recentely it was bugged and now it's fixed again.

    I think it's only Elemental status effect, but I won't test it again cuz I don't play now ;)

    I tested this, Damage shields prevents the proc of Secondary effects, not just elemental but poison and disease too. So this is Race passives, resistance glyphs and Damage shields, all making you immune to secondary effects.

    Yeah, need to notice fun fact:
    Argonians have resistance to Poison (not "slottable poisons") and Desease status;
    Nords have resistance to Chilled;
    Dunmers have resistance to Burning.

    ^ all was tested in duels with Elemental enchants on weapon. Maybe skills can apply those statuses, but Idk

    Tested with skills too, doesn't work. One of the skills that was used to test was Lethal Arrow, it has a 100% chance to apply Poison, didn't work. And yes, racial Passives from those 3 Races, and Bosmers have the same effect, same with Glyphs into the resistances of the damage types.

    Is it a bug? Or it's time to NURF ARGONIANS? ;D

    I don't think its a bug its to consistent of a mechanic. I really don't think any of it actually needs a change, and Argonians really really really do not need a nerf. They were a weak race for a very long time and are finally getting spot light as solid tanks and healers, in PvP this gives them something good to add to that as well. And don't forget, Bosmers have the exact same passive.

    I think the same. Though I really want effects working on damage shield, coz I have often run charged ice \ light staff (with blockade) in pvp and every single magicka sorc or nightblade has immunity.

    I'm certain this is WIA. I believe it was mentioned in the 2.1 patch notes when they revised secondary effects.
