New player...
Morrowind Digital Edition = £39.99

Existing player...
Base Game = £19.99
Morrowind Update = £29.99
Total Paid = £49.98
Make of this what you will, I just wanted to point it out as I've read a backlog of Morrowind opinions and nobody's talking about it. It's only 10 quid, but it's the principle. Where's the loyalty, ZOS? Thinking I'm gonna boycott this devilry. Plenty going on in the base game and DLCs.

I was thinking along the lines of "I've been supporting this game for 12 months with subs and crown store purchases, how about a discount?" but if you think it's reasonable to pay more for the same product because you have been using it for longer, by all means buy it at the stated price.
This is the same scheme that mobile phone companies and the like pull, offering cheaper deals to new customers and cranking up the prices for existing customers because they're betting you've become invested in the service and won't leave. Sounds like they're right on the mark.

I spent 69, no wait, 89 (Collectors Edition and Imperial Edition) at release. I paid that price because at the time, it was the right value of the game for me. The fact that it dropped in price does not mean much to me.
I spent $100 on the collectors edition of Morrowind that is coming out because that is good value for what I am getting. I know I can buy Morrowind cheaper, but I won't get all the things I want with it.

ESO (gold) on PS4:
Physical: $50
Digital: $100
Morrowind:
Physical: $100
Digital: $70 (base upgrade) to $130 (collectors)
Honestly, given that I paid maybe $70 for ESO a few weeks post launch, I'm picking I'll be able to grab a physical copy of Morrowind for a similar price, in a similar time-frame. A few months post release, and it'll be cheaper still.
I'm not a fan of this "chapter" malarky...it smells to me, but seeing as I do want to give the content a try, I shall be purchasing a copy. For as little as possible. Lucky for me, I'm in no rush."Includes The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™, the first game of the acclaimed online RPG series.
