Master Writs Drop Rate

I have 8 toons maxed out on skills and passives with all having at a minimum the rare motifs styles on them. My main crafter has every style/trait available and today I got 0 masters writs, in the last week I have only gotten 2-3 a day with less than 30 vouchers total. How is this even possible when I see people listing 3-4 writs a day with number of vouchers over 100+ this is really frustrating since I put so much time into making a crafter with everything and he barely gets anything... I have only had 2-3 masters writs since launch over 70 and 3-4 in the 40-50 range...The majority of the writs I get are 2's or 5 and 6. This is in my mind ridiculous... but o well....

Yep, I'm in exactly the same boat. I have one char that is fully traited, all motifs (some purchased via store) and just the odd master writ every 4 or 5 days, highest was a 42 wv woodwork one but generally just 6 or 7 wv ones.

On some other of my chars which are just maxed crafting, few traits and few motifs, I get some odd ones but seems more regularly than my maxed out crafters.

Yet some players get master writs over 250 wv.. something really weird is going on with the coding.

    You are not alone.
Far too many characters to list any more.

    Are you complaining or bragging?

Your doing better than me. Your doing better than most. I have not see a writ for more than 7 Vouchers. Ever.

I have given up on them for the most part, and sell any Sealed Writs I get. I have a few guild halls I can use Training Dummies and Attunables at, so I don't need Vouchers.

ZOS never intended this to be a quick process, and that is apparent in the implementation. This is not a Holiday Event where the stuff rains down like candy at Halloween. It is a long slow slog that will reward the persistent. If you go into this process expecting it to happen in a week, you will be sorely disappointed.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Same thing here. I have dedicated 4 of my 8 characters to the pursuit of master writs (level 50 skill for all):

Giraffon - Does all 6 crafting writs every day. (knows many but not all motifs)
Walks with Giraffes - Does 3 consumables everyday (minimal motif knowledge)
Giraffiny - Does 3 consumables everyday (minimal motif knowledge)
Giraffelle - Does all 6 crafting writs everyday (minimal motif knowledge)

Over and over it's been said that the more motif knowledge you have the better your chances. I call BS.

I hands down am having the best luck with Giraffelle. She doesn't know any of the motifs. She'll get a job for something she doesn't know how to do and then I just give it to my main to actually make it. She has been the one getting the writs for 50+ vouchers on a recurring basis. My most skilled knowledgeable crafter only seems to get the 5-7 voucher writs.

I've done 36 writs over the last two days and received zero master writs.

I don't think it's working the way they intended.

But, but, it's been like a whole week I don't have everything from the vendor yet and stuff.

Neither complaining or bragging, just feedback and raising the question as to whether WAI.

Yes I agree it needs to be a longterm method, however it's about whether the coding is correctly implemented.

For instance on my fully traited metal/fabric/wood crafter, with all motifs and crafting achievements over the last week I have not had a single Master Writ, prior to this week past where I was missing mazz, silken and ancient orc I rec'd one wood MV for 42 wvs.

Just spoke with one guy selling MVs in Crag, he had 2 MVs just below 100 wvs.. I asked him if he was fully traited and all motifs... answer was no, just a random.

Yes I can easily just buy master writs and be done with it, but I prefer longterm get my own through crafting myself. My post is just to provide some feedback to the OP, as I very much doubt ZOS will check code let alone care about it.

Yes I have some motifs purchased via store, as I spend over £300 a year on crowns.. why? because I can afford it and it's just fluff, can I not get motifs in game.. yes, I have lots of money in game as well. But reading through the ZOS post on how chances are calculated I thought only store exclusive motifs were excluded from the coding.. in my case, maybe all store purchased motifs have been.

People feedback to the forums is not always a complaint or a bragging, simply just fyi.

    Peace out o/

ps any typos sorry I really don't care :)

3-4 a day.. what the?! Haven't even got a gold one yet here.. what the heck is going on?! I do have one Epic one that I still have active for a week now, because it is a Draugr (is that how you spell it? ha ha) sword (Vamp's Kiss), and I don't have that motif and am too cheap to drop 40k for one. So, hoping that motif will drop for me soon so I can finally get rid of this nuisance.

I did 4 crafting writs on homestead launch. Got nothing, and began playing Ark. I came back two days ago, did 4 writs and got a 87 wv master writ. Rng grows fonder due to absence?? You decide.

that's very similar to my game, but i'm doing it with 7 characters. usually i can get about 6 to 8 master writs for every 126 writs i do, resulting in about 30 to 40 vouchers in total. i've been buying some master writs on guild stores to help, because it will take ages to get the vouchers we may need if we wait for our drops only. check the stores, it's a much better solution than to wait it from your characters.

also, i noticed that you have better chance to get good master writ drops if your characters are very low on skills, so, since you already all maxed out, like i have, you are doomed :)

Yep, I feel there is something strange going on in the coding myself, despite what Jessica says is "Working as intended!". I have a max level crafter that has all traits and every motif in the game and rarely receives a Master Crafting writ. My other alts that are not anywhere near being max level crafters seem to do far better than he does. It could be just RNG, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

Yeah took me 16 days to get a master writ on my main crafter finally

Main crafter - all 6 writs every day, most of every achievements done except for tons of food recipes still, all motifs besides 9 akaviri pages, needs about 20 more traits though since I took a break from the game for awhile.

Have 7 other characters doing writs as well only knows all basic motifs from 1.0 mostly, 0 traits since I didn't bother with them since you really only need one character to do it with.

I've had more writs drop on my fresh crafters than my main

    I've already said...
TAKE WRITS OUT OF LOOT TABLES AND PUT THEM ON THE WRIT BOARD
You have to have 9 trait for some of them so it's not like you're handing everyone massive amounts of vouchers.
