Thief or Mage stone for sorc pet build

Hi all,
Novice gamer here wondering whether I should have the Mage stone instead of thief.
I run 5 set of necropotence and 5 set of elegant all in divines.
A very simply rotation of two pets active, hardened ward, crystal frags when it procs and liquid lightning. Back bar is same bar apart from the skill that reduced spell resistance instead of liquid lightning. I use LA and HA in between (hence the elegant set?)
Because of my simply rotation and use of pets would the extra magic be better than the spell critical?
If it matters my two staffs are gold and sharpened. First bar is lightning and second is inferno.
Any other advice would be welcome.

✭I'm assuming this is mainly over land PvE stuff!
But regardless, those two sets give no spell crit. You also have no room in n your bar currently for inner light. Your spell crit is actually very low in guessing. Crit chance is a multiplier and will incrase damage more than the extra magika. Pets should benefit from your crit chance.1 -

My spell Crit is about 47% with the thief stone. I was asking thinking extra magic would improve my damage from pets and LA and HA?0 -
Phatmattfu✭✭✭Maybe replace Elegant set with the treasure hunter set so you can get spell crit buff without having to slot it on your bar? Then use thief you and pets will benefit.0

That's very low. You should drop crystal frag and put inner light on your front bar. Since you're a lightning heavy attack build, most of your damage is from dots and frag is a burst damage, so it won't be buffed by thaumaturge in your cp tree.Bosmer Stamina NB

Would I better off with one pet instead of two? I got the tank and twighlight, the heal morphs.
It was all about staying alive as you can guess. But I was soloing dark side cavern and city of ash and it took me ages because of damage.
I was hoping some simply changes would make me better lol...

darthsithis✭✭✭To answer your question here, I can pull 35k dps now on my sorc with 5 necropotence, 2 ilambris, and 3 willpower. (Use infal in trial)
Bars are fire destro sharpened front bar:
Frag, pulse, daedric prey (curse), inner light scamp. Meteor or barrier (with passives) for recovery
Maelstrom lightning nirnhoned backbar:
Execute, liquid lightning, wall of elements, ele drain, scamp, lightning ulti.
Lmk if u need any other questions
Use thief mundus! Make sure all aoes and dots are on 100%. Including pet and curse.

darthsithis✭✭✭pulse is a destro ability, and if you mean ultimate, people slot meteor for 2% max mag and recov- drop the ulti on your back bar and then swap.
Meteor on your weave bar for sure. Barrier for loooong fights maybe the 6 million or something but if you have sustain issues you are doing something wrong.
