Am I going about this the wrong way? (Furniture Crafting)

So, I have been searching for crafting recipes for furniture to craft for my homes, and I have spent a good portion of last night and this morning going door to door, breaking into homes and killing everyone inside and looting all the containers. Sadly, I have only found a few recipes and none of them are really that good, mostly just like plates and what not. Is there a better way to go about doing this?

A lot of it is RNG, too.

My guildmates have had great luck looting in Vaults of Madness and also the house before you go into Maelstrom arena. I have tried both several times and Maelstrom Arena literally had nothing to loot (all but two containers were empty each time I tried, so I got 2 lockpicks, some saltrice, and an apple) and Vaults of Madness had a similar issue (although I did find a High Elf Bed recipe in one of the five lootable urns I found).

So sometimes you are just unlucky.

Backpacks, my friend.

I have been doing rounds through topside Imperial City with my group. There is a backpack at almost every small district door, plus at least half have areas with several backpacks in close proximity - and they respawn just about every time you go through a door. I have also had good results from the Gold Coast castles.

Strangely I seem to have more luck with my newbie character I think that is just because they are in less popular locations and moving all over the place for quests.

Start up cadwells silver and start looking into everything?

Stealing things in banks is seems a common place to find them as well.
