Anyone Proud of their AvA rank?

I have a video of those people after auto-release (for whatever reason) where they spam their macros infront of the PvP to PVE Wayshrine.

Every single one of them a PvE-Hero with 800CP+

Inherit pride in ones ancestry, or nationalism is not about what you did or did not achieve, it's about paying homage to those who came before you so you can continue to build something for those who will come after you. So yes, I'm proud of my heritage, and proud of my nation, and it makes me happy to see others proud of theirs, regardless of what it may be.

paying homage to sth obviously isn't pride, its paying homage, something completely different and something I can totally understand and do myself

Yell, you could uplaod it to yt to inform ZOS via customer support which they will certainly read xDDDDDDDDD if crafty players find that video through yt, there's little you could be blamed for

I'm proud of sticking it out through thick and thin with a learning company, and not giving in and quitting like many others. I'm proud of sticking primarily with one character which I love playing, and of exploring and mastering many play styles on my character and pushing her limits in every direction. I've played my Breton nightblade as magicka and stamina in every conceivable "role" or play style in both PvE and PvP. And I'm proud that the AP I've gained has come from people I killed alone or in very small groups of friends, and not from 2 button zerg trains that require no effort to yield results.

I place no inherent value on the rank itself. However, the rank is an indirect symbol of commitment to an activity I enjoy doing, great friends I've met along the way, fun had by all, and time and effort invested in theorycrafting, practicing mechanics, trial, error, and improvement all along the way.

So yes, I am proud, actually. And I had fun climbing the ranks to where I am. Lots of fun, in fact, else I wouldn't continue to play! Stop being so cynical. Enjoy the game for the fun it's meant to be, and appreciate time consuming achievements as symbols of commitment and the journey we all take together as a community.

Also yea, I'm proud of my nationality because I was born here, my ancestors were born here going back some time, and they and everyone else's ancestors built a pretty cool place to live before I showed up. I think that deserves respect, loyalty, and yes, pride.

Kena you have stated twice in this thread that you made all your AP solo or in very small groups, we both know that's not true, don't forget you used to raid with us. Most of it would be more accurate. Also I think your smart enough to make an argument rather than lower your self to claiming "2 button zerg trains that require no effort to yield results", we all know that's not how good group play works whether you want to admit it or not.

I went back and looked at my achievements. In September of 2015 after Imperial City patch dropped when I stopped raiding with VE, I had just reached Veteran rank. That's less than 326,000 total AP. And I spent most of my PvP time in 1.6 dueling and attempting to solo.

And you are right that my jab at large group play was short handed. I'm jaded after having watched it become a farce this last year. Large group PvP today is nowhere near as thoughtful as it was during those days. You and I both know that as well.

I get what you're saying here-- those guys spent a lot more time in the game than most people were able to-- but they were also legitimately great group leads, and I think they deserved the rank for being able to do what they did.

I never had an EP character; that's just from fighting against them and knowing how they ran things. It's an extremely rare skill to have, being able to run groups that well, and it's certainly not the most rewarding in terms of AP anymore.

When I see a grand overload it gives me the creep.

Beeing palatine now and seeing how much time it took me to get it, and feeling a bit of shame myself, I think top ranks are more like a mark of infamy with "no lifers" in neon red over their heads.

Does anyone know how much AP it takes from Centurion II to Colonel I? It says 784,000 on UESP but I checked last night in-game and I remember it being at least 920,000.

Some of these people are like: It AP doesn´t count if its double AP-week......lmfao

AP still AP, your loss really. And besides, no one besides you will never be able to tell if those AP came before during or after the double AP week. Same goes for the Orsinium DLC anniversery were u got double vma loot. Saying that those who got a good vma weapon during that week is bad/not worthy and not using that feature yourself is just.......(not stupid, but kinda)
