Why do I have a 26.34GB update after the maintenance which always happens all day for me every time.

    Croblasta Switch your power saving to instant on mode. It will update everything usually while it is asleep

    In Settings, tell Xbox "always on". Even if you turn it off, it stays online for updates.

    It's the Homestead update, and it's a large update, which has been mentioned multiple times since they've announced homestead DLC. :)

    So if I enable this and then shut it off, it should update? I'm not home but I can enable these settings remotely.

    It would be great if I didn't have to download this patch when I get home.

    Yes it will download automatically when the patches become available.
