Mats disappearing out of craft bag

2-3 weeks ago, while playing with a friend, he said "I have x Rekuta", which prompted me to look at how many I have. The total was something like 583.
Now, I harvest every Rune node I find, so since then I had found quite a few, including at least one node that gave me 5 Rekuta, and a total of ten other Runes (so 5, 5, 5). I would say I had at least 600, but possibly as many as 620.

So I decided last night to unlock the remaining Enchant Achievements on my second character, who I've now got doing writs, and I thought I'd use Rekuta since I had around 600 of them, and I could then use them to level up other toons' Enchanting while I was at it.
At the crafting table I found I had only 400 Rekuta. So at least 200 have disappeared.

Now, before anyone posts anything like "but maybe you did x and you don't remember", I have four max level characters who have all had enchanted gear for some time; any glyphs I make for them are usually using Kuta anyway. And I rarely make glyphs for the lowbies, since what would the point be, they'd outlevel them pretty quickly. Even so, if I had, that would have used a maximum of maybe 40.
Neither have I crafted 200 glyphs recently - because a) I would remember that, and b) I don't have the bank space to store 200 glyphs.
And, for the record, I have not listed Rekuta for sale on a guild trader, ever.

On mentioning this to another friend she said she once had 10 dreugh wax disappear. She'd gotten them out to give to someone who didn't need them, but when she went to stow them they were gone.
And that starts me wondering, since the craft bag is largely out-of-sight-out-of-mind and most of us are probably only aware of the current total of gold mats at any given time, how many other mats are going missing without us noticing?

Similar issue happened forever ago on the pts, common denominator being the 83 at the end of the stacks, might be related, dunno.

get inventory insight- its helpful in tracking down mats- i ve had mats disappear from crafters and appear on alts for no reason in the past.

Folks the suggestion for things shouldn't be ....aye dude get an add-on. That's only reasonable if they say, ....what add-on should I get for X

I assume you've checked you inventory and other characters. If you deposit into any guilds, it's worth asking the GL if they see any deposits from you with runes.

Or check guild store listing if you're selling items.

Otherwise, open a ticket and ask them to check cause it sounds like a technical issue.

Like I said, I've never listed Rekuta for sale on a guild trader, ever. And I've never manually retrieved any out of my craft bag either, so they wouldn't be in any of my 8 chars' inventory, or in a guild's bank (the only thing I've deposited into a guild bank for months has been gold). They're just gone.
But as far as opening a ticket, I can't definitively prove I had around 600 (even if I'd taken a screenshot they can't be submitted with a ticket on console).

It's O K they can definitely prove it for you. Now I'll say open it and expect some weird replies but remain calm and persistent.

If it's closed, open another ask keep asking until at least you can determine it's not a bug.

Unaware of losing any runes from my inventory, I am wondering if runes are bugged, as I've witnessed rune nodes disappear in front of me after walking up to them, this occurred more than once in Rivenspire. Who knows, could tie in with runes disappearing from your inventory.

Yes, I've had that happen too, and not necessarily in Rivenspire.

I had a crown experience scroll go missing last month.

I had two, and used one of them. The second one disappeared from my inventory before I could use it. I SWEAR I never used it or sold it accidently. It was one of the crown experience scrolls that came with one of the storm atronach crates. I contacted customer service about it and they sent me a replacement, which was nice.

I'm now a little paranoid about stuff disappearing.

A couple of months ago, I had a sword disappear. (Didn't contact customer service about that one, though, because it wasn't something I paid real money for.)

I usually subscribe to ESO Plus every couple of months or so for the craft bag.
Whan not subscribed, all materials are stored in the bank. If I select a material in my inventory, the icons across the top display how many I have in inventory/bank/craft bag.
Just notiiced if I select Nickel, it displays 0 (zero) in the craft bag.

I have never ever crafted anything in the Imperial style, but Nickel is the only material that shows zero in the craft bag, all other mats are 100+.

Is this a known bug, and why would anyone bother subscribing to ESO Plus if this is what occasionally happens to mats or any other gear?
