Finally beaten vMA !

This thread is a message of hope to every person who is yet to complete it.

Don't give up guys ! The feeling of finally taking down that last boss after hundreds of deaths and an infinite amount of frustration is just... there is no words for it ! Definetly the best feeling I ever had in a video game experience

Oh and everything you read or heard about it is true: Of course you need decent gear and an adapted build, but everything in this arena is about learning the mechanics. So in every death there is a lesson to learn and things just get easier ! Hell, I slotted skills I didn't use for over a year just to adapt to some situations and I switched some morphs too... so don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and try different things if it's not working out at some point of the arena !

It is also true that I have the feeling I will complete it much quicker now

Also, big shout out to @Joy_Division 's guide (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/233356/joys-a-bit-old-guide-to-beating-maelstrom-arena/p1), it was a massive game changer to read it !

Now, I got to do it again since I got an Infused Axe and I don't have any Stamina character xD

Congratulations!.. Yes it is very hard and harder for me still. I have been struggling a lot. Unfortunately to compound
things my saved game is nto there any longer. I have asked for help (link to my post below), but have received no answer yet.

I have completed it on my magicka templar ! I think it is considered a little bit of « easy mode », but still, I am proud of my completion hahaha !

I am sorry to hear you have lost progress. Concerning your need for help, I strongly recommend reading the guide I linked in the OP, it will advice you in a way better way than I could ever do :P It will detail you step by step what you should do and what you should not do in every stage of the arena aswell as giving you tips depending on your class !

Don't give up ! it may take you a whole year, but it is doable hahaha !

Congrats on this. It gets so much easier and some stages you do not even fear death in because you are that confident.

I've only completed it now about 20 times and made my first leaderboard on a magicka dk (best opportunity with a lower score). Going to work on flawless soon.

Awesome, I just completed for the first time too, got the ever mighty "charged Ice Staff," don't think I'll be back for a long time if ever. It's way too expensive and frustrating... even though I have alts that should probably do it too. That polymorph is okay I guess.... (maybe I shouldn't be too upset since I did it in maybe under 6 hours on my first real vet attempt.... just not worth it for me)

But yeah, good luck everyone, I suppose it is worth doing once...

I've heard magblade is easy mode too, sure didn't feel easy mode on the ice, poison or final rounds... especially the poison and final rounds.
