Looking for build advice: Heavy armor/2h, viable?

I've played the game for a while two years ago but it didn't really catch on, now I'm back and trying to give it a more serious shot. My current character is a mag templar altmer and it's a lot of fun, but I'm looking for something different for an alt but I don't have much of a feeling for what's viable in this game and what isn't.
Most of the builds I've seen have either been destruction staff/light armor/magic based or dual wield/medium armor/stamina, but I already got the first one and don't really like the style of the second one. I'd like to play an Orc wearing heavy armor and using a two-handed weapon, I mostly play solo so far so, so is there a class/build for that that would be solo viable or is medium armor/dual wield just that much better for a melee character?

My first character was an Altmer Sorc as well. A little bit challenging in the beginning because he was very squishy. Make sure you are using Annulment (Light Armor Skill) for a shield, and also have a self-heal slotted. When you learn how to keep your shields and heals up Mag Sorcs are really powerful.
For your new Orc, yes - Heavy armor and 2H gives good survivability and damage for Solo Play. You should be able to wade into mobs at a pretty low level. 2H has a good AOE with a damage shield early on. Later you can unlock Rally, which is an awesome heal over time.

My first toon was a tank. I've levelled him up to a champion rank rather ok as I thought, but when I started another one - stamina NB DD - it was so much faster to burn down mobs!But is tank a viable solo build? Deltias Tank build very explicitly states it's not recommended for solo play and they recommend sticking to medium armor/DPS for levelling/solo.
