Hey all

It's been a while and I wanted to check in. How are you all? How's the ZOS team doing?

I've seen the preview for housing and Morrowind but don't know much about it yet. I was wondering what other news there has been since December?

Any PVP improvement? Any changes to the Loot Crates? Is the store still the same (prices and quality)?

I just came back after a year break and so far it looks like One Tamriel and Dark Brotherhood is all besides what you mentioned.

Still lots of PvP lag from what I hear. Still champion point power creep up to 600 now. Gear is still 160. Also new gear sets added. Undaunted has been changed.

Noticing zone zergs in PvE as well now which can give some lag and of course potential Fps drops.

Stable system still sucks.

Again, what I have noticed so far since I've been back.

The new season for crates I believe hits in March. Spriggan I believe is the theme.

Morrowind seems to be bigger. New trial as well.

I believe they said 30 hours in the story.. or 30 total. Don't quote me on that.

I don't want to be too doom and gloom.. I'm still having fun. I am excited for Morrowind expansion while at the same time skeptical if they can deliver a worthy Expansion.

Some seem to think it is barely bigger than Orsinium DLC.

The team decided to release Morrowind as a 'chapter' instead of a 'dlc,' so that members with a sub would have to pay the $40 retail price on it as well. Since it won't include any automatic character slots, players with maxed out characters will either have to delete one or buy another character slot. They did increase the cap by 2 slots though, for those players who already had 12 slots filled. A lot has been leaked about the warden class. On reddit, a player found a magazine article listing all the skills of the class, and it has been confirmed as correct information by the devs.

Judging from ZOS's marketing strategy, they're really trying to bring in new players again with Morrowind. For example, they promoted the chapter in one of the superbowl commercials. Slots for this can cost millions of dollars each.

Housing has been a little weird. People had been so focused worrying about housing prices, they underestimated the grind and cost of furnishing an apartment and accessing the few functional features, like crafting stations. The prices for houses with crowns were from reasonable to excessive, but that was to be expected.

Balancing still needs work, but they did an alright job. During the last few weeks of the PTS, they really listened to the community on a lot of aspects. Of course, some things were not addressed.

Honestly, I have yet to buy/pre-buy morrowind. I found the whole 'chapter' not a 'dlc' thing to be another example of their anti-consumer decisions. When we get closer to June, I may make a different decision, depending on how I feel about the game then. At this point, it feels like the only thing really keeping me here is the community.

I had friends tell me they were thinking about playing eso because of morrowind. I honestly couldn't tell them with honesty that they should. We continue to be suffocated by the lack of proper storage, even with a crafting bag (now that furniture has been added) and especially without the sub. I can only hope that the morrowind chapter comes with a lot of much needed features in the base game patch. What follows after is a Nord dungeon dlc, much like the underwhelming SotH dlc. I'm sad that I've been waiting since dark brotherhood for some real content in this game, only to find out that the first chance at it will be morrowind, which will require a $40 purchase.

I was just informed Morrowind isn't included with ESO+. I'm quite shocked about that tbh. I don't play at the moment but was considering ESO+ when Morrowind comes out. I don't understand that decision. I have missed a lot though xD

I admit I do miss PVP despite the lag. Quite a few fond memories of murder *dreams*

I'm not terribly excited at this episode crap they're copying from EA and SWTOR, but if Morrowind is a true expansion then it will justify itself.

If not, then I'm sure the internet backlash will be severe. (It already is and it's not out yet )

$40?! I have to be honest - what is the point of ESO+? Monthly subscription to dye your clothes with dyes accessible in game...I guess that's it? People who don't pay buy everything and don't pay extra. People who subscribe for years pay an exceptional amount for very little.

If ZOS was failing as a company then I could understand the need for extra funding but with all the advertising and giveaways that clearly isn't the case.

This is really sad news

Edit: By sad I mean seeing TES go downhill. It's tarnishing a much loved series.
