Request: Fix housing fast travel

You should not be able to bounce from house to house for free from anywhere in the world. Fast travel to a house should work like normal fast travel: If you're not at a wayshrine, you pay gold to fast travel.

I don't care about housing, but the current implementation is better. There should not be a cost. It is one of the benefits of buying a home. The only one, actually.

Agreed. Houses are useless enough as it is - this is the one useful thing.

But I do think it needs to be fixed so that travelling to a house doesn't trigger wayshrine cost to increase, given that there is currently no way to travel away from the house.

I wish I could use my house but I get stuck in a load screen if I walk out the door .

Actually I typically jump to a random guildmates houses then use the door.. I basically have anyone in my guilds house ha haha.

There is a fee.

It is called time. When you fast travel to a home you have a loading screen to your home, then you have another loading screen when you leave your home and enter the zone.

Lol for how much some of these houses cost, the travel cost has been more than paid for by many.

I come here expecting an actual issue, like how even if you use a wayshrine to port to your house and then port out right away you still have to pay the 1k gold as if you had just ported outside a wayshrine, unless you port to a player... but hey, like some said, people have to complain about everything, even free stuff.

Well, you can port to any campaign in Cyrodill from anyplace on the map for free, then use the wayshrines to port to any other wayshrine on the map. You can port for free between your houses. In many houses you can go into town and use a nearby wayshrine. Why the OP wants to add more costs onto house ownership in this game is beyond me. Makes zero sense.

Looks like we're in the minority, but I actually agree with OP.

What makes these houses so special that you can port to them for free? Why cant i port to say... Queen Ayrenn's house for free?

The cost to port somewhere comes from entering the wayshrine network from somewhere other than a wayshrine. The destination shouldnt make a difference to this. In addition, the houses should have internal wayshrine that you need to port from.

We are not charged for traveling to our homes when not using a wayshrine.

What is happening and should not is when we travel to our home without using a wayshrine it increases the cost of travling back to a wayshine. It should not happen.

Free to travel to home. Costs over 1k gold to travel to a wayshrine from the home if travel is done almost immediately afterwards. This may have been what OP was attempting to communicate.

yea, I know we can travel to a player, that is beside the point.

It's funny, teleport to player is free yet it's the houses that has you in knots. Do you want teleport to player to cost gold as well? As someone else said, the costs of the houses make up for the free travel. If they get rid of that, they better reduce the cost of the houses as this eliminates one of the perks of having a house.

Porting into houses is free. Porting out will cost you 1k if you do it right away. If anything we should ask for a craftable wayshrine to place in our house so we can get out of it conveniently.
