PVE and PVP dyes.

We have achievments from PVP and then we have achievments from PVE.

I think it would be nice not to lock dyes behind a certain playstyle. There should be PVE and PVP achievment connected to any color that requires either one so that players could do the achievment in environment they like.

Like when I kill an emperor in Cyrodiil I get the monster helm he's wearing, so I don't have to kill a dungeon boss for it? I think it's a bit far fetched, really.

As a PVPer, I don't get why some dyes are locked behind PVP achievements. I may be wrong buy I generally think that the majority of players who are bothered about dyes (or the achievements that go with them) enough to focus on unlocking them tend to be the players who play for achievements or who focus on their character look and game immersion - which lies much more the pve demographic than the standard pvp demographic.

As a PVPer - its nice to have more unlocked dye choices - but I certainly don't go looking for them and certainly don't lose any sleep over not having certain colours unlocked. What I do lose sleep over is the lack of a free 6% increase to all stats..

I don't know what alliance rank you've made it to but unless the ones way up in the 40s have good colors, all of the unique PvP dyes are newbie shades that are barely different from other newbie shades. Templar's Doom yellow is about the same as the one next to it.

I suppose there might be some IC dyes. The only one I can think of is Transliminal Violet for killing Molag Bal, which is indeed very cool. That's not so much a PvP achievement as "I went with a big group" achievement, though.

Not before emperor title and regalia will be available through PvE. And separated PvE campaign. And pure PvE IC.

I believe they worked on making sure both PvE and PvP had similar colours but not identical.

So whilst you can't use Ruby Throne Red (Emperor) you can earn Daedric Red (General Executioner).

Similar colors, yes. But if we take Coldharbour ash black which as far as i know, is the blackest black in PVE and compare to PVP legate black.

Both are black, but PVE is matte and legate is glossy. The matte is not very good on metal armour while the glossy suits them pretty well. Then the PVE matte black is better for cloth and leather armour for example. Then what you need to do to get them? The matte black is ridiculously easy, but its the purest black there is in the PVE setting while the Legate black need enormous commitment to PVP. My playstyle will get legate black in about 10 year while the other took a week.
Other i have looked are also similar but the better working colors seem to be on the PVP side always, most of PVE colors seem very transparent compared to PVP dyes.

Anyway, it would be nice if someone interested in PVP would eventually get all PVE colors by just doing PVP and other way around too.
