Potentially Very Bad Scenario?

So, there is a bug that has been reported, multiple times, where sometimes if you lag out in Cyrodiil, upon logging back in you will find yourself dead in PvE world with no wayshrine to select for respawn. The only way around this was to "get unstuck" which would put you near a wayshrine, still dead though. But at least you could spam area chat to get a res.

In Homestead, let's say this happens and throws you back into your home, dead. You'll be unable to respawn, and when you "get unstuck" it will just throw right back in your home. I kind of see this being a problem, considering we won't be able to find a res in our own homes.

Has this happened to anyone yet on PC?

Well, in that worst case scenario, wouldn't you just submit a ticket to the support for them to resurrect your character?

I mean, it seems like that would be the only way.. I think. The thing is though, this bug happens like once a day on console if you play in campaigns with a queue. It could be a common issue, which will suck pretty bad.

Oh, didn't know it was a daily problem, that's a different scenario indeed. I would go crazy if I had to submit a ticket daily just to keep my character alive! :/

    I haven't experienced the bug myself (I don't PVP though :/ ),

But fret not Zos will fix it Soon™:D

Easiest is if get unstuck put you next to closest wayshrine and not in your house.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Right, but I'm pretty sure your house would count as a wayshrine..

It special for one its free to travel to. Somebody should try, undress, then get killed where your house is closer than wayshrine, then inside the house's zone.

Save your breath I literally gave @ZOS_GinaBruno a message with a video showing this bug months ago (last year) and I have not seen this bug being fixed or have every received a response regarding it. Take it as 'working as intended'.

On console couldn't you just hard restart the game the same way you fix invisible NPC's?

Yea I know, I just see this bug becoming exponentially more annoying with Homestead.

I don't believe so, I think your character remains dead, not sure how long though. It's actually a very terrible bug that should have already been fixed, this post is just highlighting that it could become even worse. The main problem now is that if you are in a capped campaign, you'll lag out, it will take you 5-10 minutes to fix the bug by logging resetting/logging into other characters repeatedly/waiting for a res. all the while, the war continues in Cyro. Then you have to re-queue which for some alliances/campaigns can be +50 in line. So basically, you lag out, then can't get back into Cyrodiil for 20-30 minutes, this is current. I'm worried with Homestead, it will be much much longer until you can find a work-around to res'ing in your own home.

I feel like this is one of those things that is going to happen to me now that I know about it!

Fortunately I don't plan on getting a house so I have that peace of mind at least?

If you die in your house it has the option to use wayshrine. When you press it you spawn at the front entrance to your home just as you do after the load screen. Yes.. I have died at my house lol.

But the bug I am referring to does not give you the option to use any wayshrines. The game still thinks you are in Cyrodiil, however when you try to select a spawn point, none of the keeps show up on the map. You literally cannot respawn without getting a res.

By what you mentioned though I would assume that choosing "get unstuck" would just put me at the front door of my house. So it seems that this will undoubtedly be an issue. :(

It's really annoying - but you can re-queue for Cyrodiil while dead, and when you get back in you'll be alive (If the queue is long, eventually the respawn timer will kick in anyway, and you'll be able to res via the timer)
