Sorceror ultimate bugged after patch

I used to be able to charge to 1k but only manage to charge to 0.5k after the patch

    Because they decided that storing up to 1k ult and being able to use overload for days wasn't something they liked?

    Probably due to people using overload until 200ish then using meteor as an ultimate finisher.... dunno. Was not explained that i know of. But they thought it was too powerfull.

    Yes, the change was intended for the very reason mentioned above. Overload from 1k down to 240 then hit destro staff to empty it. While I'll admit it was very very fun to use, twas way over balanced.

    Zos informed us of this change 5 weeks ago. It has been on the PTS for that long for us to provide feedback on that change and others in preparation for today.

    Icp was soloed on vet. Guy was using overload so they decided since one guy in the world did it with mostly skill we are gonna nerf it .

    Makes no sense 500 overload isnt even worth toggling

    I only used Overload at the beginning of one fight though (which was purely optional) and built my Ult up to a value far less than 500. Gave me only a handful of blasts before casting Meteor.

    Afterward I used Overload as a 3rd skill bar for Boundless Storm and Rearming Trap like usual.

    I really hope I didn't cause any nerfs to my class cause group content got soloed :lol:

    Unless warden class has some ult utility like overload. and they are anticipating. That is the only slightly rational reason I can think of.

    Other than that they just nerfed a very niche playstyle with plenty of drawbacks that didn't need nerfing.

    Well, 1k ult was necessary only 2014, where the werewolf ult cost was 750. This adjustment should have been done when they brought werewolf down to the same level as others, but I guess it wasn't that easily done and they never got around to do it.

    So, with only one single ult using the 300 to 1000 ult range, and considering the fact that 1k ult overloads had a large part in making sorc dps in pve strongest overall, I consider this a necessary balance change.

    But then, since the "elite" doesn't think so, I'm probably wrong, right? Especially since this is a pve motivated nerf, a thing that is completely:

    Everyone want nerfs until it's their super strong winning thing nerfed, then ZOS have no idea what they're doing and are killing the class/game.

    That was a very good point. I didn't even think of this.

    It-s the Bear, most likely. It will keep ressumoning itself, probably until ult is depleted. So, Immortal Bear was not good=nerf sorcs. :trollface:

    Only thing they should've done regarding sorc pets are made the storm atronach being able to move around and follow you for the duration. Now that would've been sweet and worthwhile. Sorc vs Warden while Atronach fights Bear, fight of the titans... Why not?

    Honestly no, I believe that this nerf was 100% about forcing players to choose between using only one ult or the other situationally, or using a nerfed version of the one so you CAN use the other. It's the idea of risk vs reward. Risk: you might not be able to cast your destro ult if Reward: you choose to run Overload for longer for resource management/extra skill bar.

    With the old cap, there was no risk and all reward. That's really not how an Ult like Overload should work.

    I'm not sure about that. I think it is the channeled Blizzard-looking let we see in the trailer.

    There are numerous ways ZOS could go about this. For example, it could cost Ult per second to channel before exploding, or gain in strength per 100Ult or so you use it.

    It's annoying as hell, in particular if you built your build around overload. NO ONE was talking about it being OP, like no one.

    People did moan about Eye of storm yes, dirty Proc sets ruining pvp yes. And what do they do, remove Crits from Proc sets no change to PvP, and half overload. With zero Dev comment on why. At the same time killing Dual Wield off.

    Play how you want, unless ur a sorc. Then you get a staff.
