Invalid or Out of Date Client

The patch has completed but I keep receiving an "Invalid Client" error. I have followed all the instructions to fix this, including a full repair, running as adminstrator, even turning my firewall off to make sure its not my anti-virus.

Can anyone help me with this please?

    ffs why every patch we must meet with random client or server problems. Why EU server still unavalible but US is already online =\

    eu servers aint back up yet, thats why it says that, they made so you can update and patch, but we still wait for them to flick the switch back on again

    Thank you for explaining that, it was not clear at all. When a game launcher states you can play you assume you can play.

    Perhaps better and clearer communication from ESO as to the actual status would make for a nicer experience for it's player base.

    Big idea promoting that the patch is coming on the 6th, when, at 6.21 pm, I still haven't even been able to log in to the game because of the update... Couldn't they just have said that it will be done the 7th instead :/ They must know that in europe there are different time zones and that a big portion of it is ahead of time compared to the US...
    I usually have a really good patience with updates, but this was not well performed..

    Isn't there a little Red Light on the Launcher when the Servers are down? It is a small indicator, but it should be there. I rarely use the Launcher, so not sure if its been removed or not.

    The launcher even states with a popup that EU-server is down atm and can't be played on. You can still play on NA-Server which is the reason the launcher let you hit "play"

    @Nestor It got removed when they merged the game so you only need 1 client for either server (I believe that was One Tamriel?) and said they wanted to add it back but still haven't

    It said that during the whole day (here at least). But since around 5pm (utc+1) the notification was removed, hence I thought that the game was playable. They shouldn't have removed the notification if they weren't done..

    Nice to see this but maybe an estimated end time should be cool. Launched the client and the maintenance notice is sill there, tried to login but ATM pops up an error that says "The server is currently undergoing maintenance. Please try logging in later."

    So no more "outdated client" error but still can't login...

    As someone very new to this game (less than a month) much as I enjoy playing so far, my perception of the support communication sucks. The EU server seems to have been off since this morning GMT and now I get the out of date client message, there is no information on how you update a client, if that will take the many many hours downloading and installing originally took or what...

    Where do you find this mysterious patch? Why don't they give clear links and clearer info on the log in page. Will this patch be as convoluted to add as part of the original download?

    lovely graphics, great story lines and NPC characterisation but abysmal customer information..

    Because NA Server is more profitable, thats why.

    If you are receiving and invalid client error, you will need to ensure that client is up to date. To do this follow the steps listed here: How to update the game client.

    If you are still experiencing issues please submit a support ticket and include a copy of your Game Consultant report.
