Please help me get back into the game. Looking for healer Sorc build

I've been out of the game for about 2 years. I have a lvl50 sorc maxed crafting, a couple million gold, and a bunch of crafting toons to support with raw materials. All my points are returned to me but I can't remember how I was spec before or how I should be going forward. Also when I played I didn't have champion points, so I don't know what I should spec into. Thanks.

The best thing for Sorcs nowadays is the Twilight Matriarch burst heal on 2 targets. They brought this into the game sometimes last year and it's such a strong heal... Sorc healing with it feels so much better.

I put all points into magicka. If you are getting back into the feel of healing then I suggest both bars to be resto staff, otherwise if you are feeling confident a destro / resto combo.

I use my sorcerer as a magicka battery healer, using mystic orbs, siphon spirit, empowered ward, coupled with harness magicka and twilight matriarch on the off bar. The main bar I use combat prayer, healing springs, healing ward and endless fury (twilight is on both bars anyway)

I constantly use shield and prayer with springs for times when stacking up is needed. Orbs and siphon are awesome for magicka users and really helps magicka based tanks like the SAP tanks or dark deal sorcerer tanks. With tanks that are self sufficient especially with their resources, I usually change empowered ward with velocious curse or at least a blockade and force pulse (changed with siphon spirit) if I'm using destro.

The other guys gave you a bunch of good info on how to spec a healer if you're intent to heal with your sorc.

Sorcs however just don't have the utility that templars do when it comes to healing.
They will though most likely be the best DPS with the patch that's coming tomorrow.

So what do you guys think so far, I'm lvl50 with like 160ch points.

Fortunately I was dilligent before I stopped playing a few years ago and I have about 1.5 million gold and almost all research complete on everything.

Stats:

Attrib: all but six points into magic, the six points into health
I have about 33k magic buffed
19k health buffed (I used a few points in health and the rest in Magic to get over 18k, I had read you need about over 18k for end content, but I could respec)

Skills:

I have 287 points. is that max?

I can't remember where the heck I had most of these skill points. Maybe I was leveling stuff up for pvp, which will take awhile before I get back into it. All my crafting is maxed, and all the passives in destro and resto are maxed, along with the skills on my bars. All the class passives maxed, but I really only have points into the summoning. Resto and destro skills are mostly maxed (the ones I use, and all the passive). The light armor is maxed. Soul magic passives maxed. Mage guild magicka controller is maxed. high elf skills maxed. still have 39 more points I could spend.

Gear:

It's probably irrelevant at this point because I haven't leveled up CH. I have five items of the Healer set and five items of Mara.

Bars:

I remember I used to have destro/resto for healing and then I used to jump in and DPS as necessary.

On my main resto bar I have the Matriarch, inner light, combat prayer, healing springs, rapid regen, suppression field ultimate (I can't remember if I was using annullment or suppression before when I was healing hmmm...or maybe depending on the fight I had both??)

On my destro bar I have Clanfear (although if I was healing I think I would put Matriarch back on), elemental drain, crushing shock, fire ring, storm atronach

Champion points:

Wow this is a lot to ingest. I'm sure this is mostly wrong, so please guide me!

Tower: 24 points in Magician (reduce magic cost)
Lover: 23 points in Lover (magic recovery)
Apprentice: 23 points in Elfborn and 23 points in Blessed (should it all be in blessed or just split between crit and increase healing done?)
Lady: I have most of the points distributed in the four lowest skills that reduce damage and DOTS and stuff

Some other questions that I forget...for my hireling alts - does it matter if they have points in anything but 3/3 hireling in terms of getting yellow mats? I know it matters what basic mats they'll get depending on how many points you have in the skill itself.
