Why so much haters?

So i just saw comment section on new morrowind dlc trailer,and all it's getting is hate.On IGN channel,gamespot,playstaion,and those hate comments getting like 1k likes.Same of facebook,lots of haters coming on offical page.I mean i could understand why if was getting hate on launch,but what's wrong with them now?

Haters will hate no matter what ! They don't get what they think they are entitled to, which is everything, so they pout !

Because a lot of them are convinced Bethesda is 'wasting' their time developing content for ESO as opposed to working on TES6. In reality Bethesda is simply a publisher for ESO, ZoS developed the game.

That being said, I've been playing since Morrowind in 2003 and I enjoyed all Elder Scrolls game(Oblivion being my least favorite but hey everyone has an opinion.) I also believe the majority of these people are what we older TES fans call 'Skyrim Kids' they started playing with Skyrim and demand a Skyrim 2 and hate ESO because it isn't Skyrim Online.

As others have said there is hate for everything no matter what it is these days.

I think a lot of this anger stems from ZOS once again changing business model and going back on promises made (again) which seems to be a yearly occurrence now.

Because of bad parenting letting video games babysit there own kids and becoming entitled brats from behind a keyboard demanding they get their way. I am being completely serious, this is factual and not an insult.

Dunno about anyone else, but I've been playing since Daggerfall and couldn't care less what the uppity lot over on the Bethesda forums think of me. let a number of them act all superior, it changes nothing.

Same happens with all games. A huge outcry when Mass Effect 2 was released because it wasn't Mass Effect 1, it was Gears of War clone etc etc. Now they hate on ME3, because it's not Mass Effect 2. They loathed Oblivion because it wasn't Morrowind and Skyrim because it wasn't oblivion. The most hilarious part is, many amongst that group now consider Morrowind the pinnacle of the TES series, yet I remember the carnage on the old Bethesda forums because it wasn't Daggerfall 2. They'll turn their noses up when the new TES game arrives too. It's what gamers do.

Internet tends to support minorities, because content and pleased people usually won't post much about something they like. Smashing "dislike" buttons makes it easy to "contribute" even for the "not so sophisticated" people.

Are you really trying to say that nothing has changed over the last couple of months and this is just a case of 'haters gonna hate'? No crown crates, no slow raising of crown prices (hairstyles used to be around 500 and are now 1000, last costume was 1200 etc)? It is a slow devaluation of what you get for the subscription (cosmetics, DLCs) while making the sub more and more obligatory (crafting bag). And all this knowing fully well that people are going to have to buy the expansion as well, so it's not like they weren't getting a good chunk of extra money this year?
Also, this is not criticism of the game or the devs, just the monetization. And I'm not even a subscriber.

I have the same problem as him on the psstore eu, can't buy the upgrade
I own a physical copy of the gold edition and the upgrade is not available for purchase with the reason that I don't own Tamrial Unlimited

ESO had kind of bad timing, GW2 and SWTOR both had 3+ year hype so when ESO was released players werent up for another hype train. I suppose the poo still keeps going. Lets see what they think when ES6 comes, or ES movie/tv-show. We will prevail.

Because they associate Elder Scrolls with single player RPGs. They think that Elder Scrolls and MMOs should have nothing to do with each other.

Also They constantly think that Bethesda developed it and delayed ES6 because of it. How many times do we have to tell them that Zenimax and Bethesda are separate developers?

Personally, before news of ESO was released, I thought it would be cool to play an MMO in the Elder Scrolls universe.

I just read an article about how people want to feel like they are the center the universe when playing an Elder Scroll game rather than be a part of something. Which is one of their major gripes with ESO. How insecure are these people?

Yep, 40 EUR is not that expensive. A few packs of cigarettes - I quit that a few years back - or a night at the movies. I've bought the upgrade and I'm totally happy about it. The amount of whining about anything on these forums, and the internet in general is ridiculous. People just allow themselves to become spoiled brats, or worse, trolls, when they're anonymous and have 0 responsibility for their actions.

Haters want to have access to all things for free or almost free. When I first read information about pricing of chapter I was pretty sure that those hateful part of community will start flame war about it. For me 40€ is not a small amount of cash but I will buy it for sure. No matter I'm already subscriber. Just add Morrowinds music to this and I'm looking for my wallet lol.

No I'm not saying that. In fact, I've made numerous posts and a handful of threads alluding to the exact thing you're on about

And made numerous comments in other threads such as this one about the price creep of the junk we're being given recently as in this thread here

My point is, there's a helluva lot worse wrong with this game than a $40 "expansion". Large content does come at a price, whereas un justified increasing price grabs are nothing more than a pile of ***.
