Will there be a preload of the content, or i need to download it all, at release day when the servers got overloaded ?
Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

Rulz of Morrowind:
  • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
  • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
  • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
  • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
  • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
  • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
  • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
  • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

No preload needed. You will download it day one when it will be released. The content pack won't be that huge to require an preload.

I don't think anyone knows for sure.

I think they have previously added bits of an update in earlier updates (which is how they get datamined), and I think it would make sense. But they haven't actually said what they'll do either way.

As someone with slow internet I kind of hope this releases as updates previous to the launch day but with the unlock code going live on the day. I doubt that's worth it though.

It's an expansion, not a DLC. If i understand it right Morrowind content wont be downloaded from ESO server but the actual Expansion pack. So ppl that dont buy expansion wont have anything to download and will play the game normaly as nothing has happened. Ppl that bought Morrowind expansion will simply install in on top of existing game. Atleast thats how expansions used to work.

Doubtful has they will still need some files in order for their stuff to interact right with that of the warden class and so on new class new gear and so on.

If I recall right if they didn't have some files wouldn't see certain things right, they just will be blocked from the new zones and battlegrounds, so on.

Just my two crowns on the matter, but wait to see what ESO says

Of course this is not what happens...

How will those people that don't buy it be able to see the warden abilities etc...

Like I said they will be locked out, half asleep so probbly didn't type it right, but there also will be new gear and craft stuff to I bet...most likely will be able to sell it to people who don't have the content well some items and such.

It will on some levels most likely work like a big dlc for a few aspects so everyone will need the files just they will be locked out of somethings.

Also makes it easier if they do end up buying it one day the files are already there.

edit: Didn't go through before your edit sorry.

Yes, warden class and the new gear has to be visible to everyone.
They might divide it in two parts, one is warden, gear and other player stuff including craft able furniture.
For simplicity they probably put most data in the update patch.
Leaving voices for npc and world data for the expansion only.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

The content will be downloaded no matter if you got or not. That is how online games work, everyone must have all the files. Just leave your launcher open during the launch date and will do the magic. Despite living in a third world country and having a *** connection, I never had problems downloading patches on day its released, it always reaches my maximum speed, their servers are really good.

With DLC everyone has all the files already, all you buy is the ability to access them. That's why when you buy DLC in the crown store you don't have to log out and update the game before you can use it, you can go there immediately.

I imagine the expansion will be the same. (Guild Wars 2 did that with their expansion, I don't know about other games.) Which is also why I imagine they will release some stuff before the release day, packaged with other releases. Otherwise everyone, including those who don't buy Morrowind, would have a huge download on release day.

(Also it will be available boxed, but I don't know if the box will include a disc and if that disc will actually have the Morrowind data on it. It could just be an account code and instructions to download the game.)
